miss my animals... look how cute
I'm missing my animals right now. They're at my parent's house. I just wanted to show my little babies off.
This is Teddy, my lhasa apso shih tzu mix:

This is my adorable kitty Binky:

And this is my bratty lil manx:

Re: miss my animals... look how cute
I'm partial to the lil manx due to how it looks alot like (in a way) Bibs (see my avatar). BTW, because of the tortiseshell in its coat (aka being a brindled coat) it will be full of personality as most (from my experience) definately have it! They are reknown for attitudes. It's what I loved about Bibs the most. Such a Queen. LOL!
Also Binky looks an awful lot like Puddy (the remaining cat in our household). What breed is Binky?
Re: miss my animals... look how cute
Binky and Polly, the manx, are both from the animal shelter. Any cat I get I want to save. So as far as Binky goes, my family and I think he is at least partially Norwegian Forest Cat. In the shelter, he had lots of brothers and sisters in his litter that all looked like him.
Goldcoastgirl, I actually thought about your baby Bibs when I posted that. I hope my little Polly didn't make you too sad. And you're right, she has soooo much personality. Her fave thing to do is chirp and growl at the birds outside. And if you let her, she'll curl up in your lap and try to lick you neck and face.
And Corgan, you like him, I like him, everyone likes him. He is one of those cats with a damn stuck up nose lol. He's very selective about who he loves. But if he picks you, you're in heaven. He hated me for putting him in that bow. But he finally gave up after like 2 weeks of ignoring me and running away from me after that. Now when I visit he'll occasionally come up to me and love me up. Damn I love that cat.
And I'm kind of sad to look at my dog, Teddy. His sister Zoe got ran over about a year ago. I actually still cry when I think about her. She was so smart and beautiful. God, I miss her.

I wish I'd had you around when I was substitute teaching last week. I was teaching these fourth graders how to write a cinquain, so we were writing a class poem about this one boy's puppy. He wanted the word shih tzu in the poem. Guess how I spelled it? :O
Well, those are four cute and well-loved animals who are lucky to own you for their person.

No, not sad. It's nice to see other "torties" as I know how full of attitude and spirit and personality they are thank to Bibs and other "torties" that have graced my life.
As for Puddy, hell yeah he definately is a "Wedgie"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Forest_Cat
I read up about him not just on the Wiki and all signs point to him being a chocolate brown coated golden eyed "Wedgie". Wow, finally after all these years we both (my flatmate and myself) know what he is... and he might even be a purebreed as well. It doesn't seem like he has any other breed mixed in there unlike Bibs. Bibs was definately "mixed" with her predominant breed being Russian Black.
It certainly explains why he always wanted to "be friends" with Bibs. Bibs wouldn't have a barr of it tho' yet he kept trying... supposedly "Wedgies" like to "be friends" with other animals.
;D

Same goes for Guinevere my last kitty (except one I shared with an ex for a year and a half, she was a cool kitty too). She had natural eyeliner, I swear, and beautiful eyes. It's been a long time and I still really miss her.
The name Binky is funny because I have used that as a joke for a long time now. I remembered the name, but forgot where I had seen it.
As I rediscovered later, it's a Matt Groening character from Life in Hell, the cartoon series that got him going. Which is funny as hell, BTW, I think it's better than the Simpsons.
I even made a joke account with Pryce's permission a few years back, as Binky.
He's still there, go look, lol!
Re: miss my animals... look how cute
Isn't Binky also linked with Garfield, the cat (cartoon series)? Binky The Clown??
Re: miss my animals... look how cute
aww, your cats are super cute. blinky looks like my kitty panthro.
Re: miss my animals... look how cute
I'm not really sure where my sister got the name "Binky." I think maybe she had wanted to name it "inky" but my mom thought she said Binky, and the name stuck.
Re: miss my animals... look how cute
