Face masks & other skin care
I have tried:
Queen helene mint julep mask (very drying)
several package masques for 1.75 each sold at ulta, walmart... (not bad)
Neutrogena face wash & mask in one (horrible!)
egg yolk on its own (great for firming your skin temporarily)
noxzema deep cleaning mask (ick)
proactive refining mask (kind of harsh)
elizabeth arden clear the way mask (perfect for acne)
elizabeth arden continuous moisture (ok)
elizabeth arden deep cleaning mask (ok)
Mud spa mask (way too drying maybe for a greasy mna!)
Just giving you gals some input on face masks!
I have read over and over again that over drying your face will only cause more acne. Thats probably why I broke out like crazy after using those drying face masks.) elizabeth arden is more suitable for sensitive skin, it's not that drying.
A strange cheap makeup primer alternative i read about: using monistat anti chafing gel as a makeup primer ?!?! whatever works...

A good, clarifying face mask SHOULD make you break out afterwards because it's sucking out all the gunk and stuff that was trapped in your pores! It has to come out some way ;D

TONS of good reciopes for homemade beauty recipes for face and hair.
Re: Face masks & other skin care
I know thats right because after I got a facial I broke out horribly but it has made things a lot smoother since then. Thanks for the natural skin recipes!
Re: Face masks & other skin care
I use the Mint Julep by Queen Helene (just washed it off now in fact), Oil of Olay Microderm self heating masque, and aspirin mask with witch hazel. All work well, however I have very oily skin.

I have some Queen Helene, my fave but I haven't used it in forever. How is the Oil of Olay microderm? I was thinking about getting a professional facial done first, then use the Olay. And I have yet to use the asprin mask..

Both OOO and the aspirin mask are AWESOME.

The proactive refining mask is my new all time favorite mask. i just got it last week and I already notice a HUGE difference in my skin. I have really sensitive and pale skin and it doesn't irritate it and it's great for a spot treatment..get's rid of a pimple almost overnight. I seriously love this stuff and highly recommend it.
