IMHO anything that can increase your chances of 'attracting money' is worth a shot.
Yep I have to agree there!!
;)
Hey, thanks for the articles! I am already doing some of the suggestions, & reading library books about, listening to positive tapes, I just made some household donations today as well.
I still stand by THINK AND GROW RICH by Napoleon Hill as the best way/source to attract wealth. Just wish I would use that knowledge more often :P :)
Affirmations and all that jazz has been covered in Hustle Hut if you want to go have a look-see over there. Plus it has a sticky at the top of Hustle Hut as to how you can get a copy of THINK AND GROW RICH in download-able format online.
Thanks, GCG, I have that book..much gnawed by my beloved bunny. I will also check out HH forum, thanks also for that tip.
excellent I will have a look in the sticky.
cheers GCG.
In all honesty I've found the best way to attract money is to look and act like you already have it. At work and in day to day situations. A young wallstreet type gentleman with a 6 figure income is more likely to buy me an $80 margarita (yes I know where there is one) if I'm dressed nicely and can explain with a knowledged flair as to why the alcohol is better in this one versus that one.
Appearing to be upperclass can, in effect, make you upperclass. :P
and let's not forget about "the Secret"
My boss had us watch "The Secret" AND "What the *** Do We Know" over the last few days. Unfortunately it was during work time, so I couldn't pay too much attention. I'm on the fence about this, but my boss is very successful and smart, and I do look up to him greatly.
What's 'the secret' about? And why do you not save the 19.95?
I totally agree!!!
I had a boss that made me watch the stupid film and told me I couldn't work for him unless I agreed with that film. I stuck with it for a while but he bought into the hype so much I couldn't handle him and quit. Work your ass off and dress/act like the job you want has always worked for me.
The book essentially is nothing you didn't know already. Its all in the presentation of the book that makes you think its something special --like the brown paper wrapping "tied" with string. The entire intro to the film, which seems all mystical and shit, looks like a depiction of the emerald tablet of Hermes --which is the basis of alchemy. I was trying to look like I was watching without really, so I may be incorrect but the intro seriously had jack to do with the rest of the information.
While you may not believe in the book, the idea behind it is valid. It's the power of positive thinking. You cannot dwell on the negatives of your life and expect only positive things to happen.
You cannot bring in wealth if you focus on how you have no money. You cannot bring in loving relationships if you constantly reassure yourself that every man is an asshat and will only hurt you.
If it's all about the things you already know, then it begs the question of why are you not following the ideas behind it (whether or not you buy the book)? Also, there are a lot of people in the world who've been living with blinders and this information IS new to them.
The beginning of this movie was simply depicting the saving of the "profound" information. There are people in power who would prefer that the masses believe in negative thinking...who believe in following and not leading...who believe that their lives are the creative processes of some unseen deity. Within The Emerald Tablet, it explains how to set "one's level of consciousness to a new degree." (i.e. positive thinking, law of attraction, etc)
Since you have such a disdain for any of this information, I would question the reasons behind that. You may be surprised at what comes up with that.
Where did I say I have disdain for any information provided in the book? I merely said it was a repeat of common knowledge marketed greatly. Nowhere did I also say I did not adhere to the style of thinking where positive begets positive. As a matter of fact if you even care to read an earlier post of mine, I stated I found that to attract money you must act and look as though you already have it, thus, money begetting money.
I still think Think and Grow Rich will stand the test of time over The Secret. The Secret will come and go yet 100 years from now Think and Grow Rich will STILL be around! ;D I also agree about saving yourself the money in buying The Secret.
Think and Grow Rich is a much better viable choice.
Everytime I actually use what I have learnt from that book .. I can attest it does work. My problem is that I don't always use what I learnt...
^ Offtopic - OH CRAP! I forgot to get that hotel information for you! Sorry! :x
But it's NOT common knowledge hun. Most people are not aware of this info. In fact, most people think exactly the opposite. Why do you think there is so much suffering, lack and grief in the world? Because people don't know the info contained in The Secret! I think it's fabulous that someone put it out there for the masses.
the stuff in 'the secret' sounds like repackaged teaching of, well, any number of commonly known religions.
Because without suffering, without pain we would never truely appreciate happiness. It is the way of the world.. without death there can be no life. Think about it. The suffering, lack and grief in the world is generally associated with 'negative' things of life yet it is part of growing, part of being human, part of being of this planet and world.
I know I grow as a person spiritually and otherwise due to suffering (etc).
I also know that I appreciate and am more grateful for the good times (happiness etc) because I have experienced hardship and suffering etc.
Why do I think it exists? Because the world needs it to be balanced. We need night as much as we need day. We need death as much as we need life.
^ Oh snap... I really agree with you on that one! Without darkness, how the heck do you know what light is?
And just because it's not 'common knowledge' to the masses, doesn't mean it hasn't been printed in 8billion books world-wide already. It's not my fault people hate libraries. It their own fricken fault if they don't know. And I didn't say the book was necessarily BAD... I just said it was a repeat of other (commonly known, or so I thought) books that was just marketed much better.
The woman just knew how to market what everyone else had already written that nobody took the time to read.
^ uhhh, you do realize the reason the Jews leave the 'o' out in G-d is because they show so much respect for him, they don't say his name, right? It's a violation to them to type his name on the computer, because it can be erased, deleted or defaced..
Exactly! Satan is the "Other Face of God". Goodness, Satan (aka Lucifer) was an angel of God before being spurred by Him. Then again, I'm not Christian so none of that really applies to me as I have my own myths for my own spirituality that helps explain the dualistic nature of this universe (of life).
