last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
anybody remember my posts about the calls and possible break in to my apt? and at one point i thought i knew who the calls were from now and that it wasnt the same person as originally? well, her best friend is a waitress at my club. and theyve also threatened to "beat my ass and put me in the hospital." now the waitress won't serve me.
the other day, i was drinking (which is something i will not be doing at work AT ALL anymore) and i went upstairs to the dressing room and started crying because i am not the type of person who has ever not gotten along wth waitresses or bartenders or anything. nothing to cry over, but the girl is trying to get me fired and there is no other club in my area that i'll make enough money to pay my bills. one of the girls said something to her and i thought she'd get the picture.
last night, she had dyed her hair so i didnt realize it was her at first, and i asked her a question. she looked at me and walked away. i went upstairs and was all pissed off, and the girls told me to go tell the manager. we have to sell drinks, and how can i do that if she wont serve me? the manager SENT ME HOME. he told me i had to go home and "calm down." i cried (again) because this is the same manager i had problems with before and i thought he was firing me. i go out to my 2 week old car and what do i see? no mirror and scratches down the side. and the manager told me he wasnt looking at the cameras and i must have done it myself!
to make a long story short, i was crying my eyes out because i just got my car and called the police and my dad. now my parents know im dancing and i basically threw a fit in the parking lot, bawling and arguing with the manager. when did i turn into that crazy loser stripper?!
(i just wanted to vent. im so angry that they wouldnt give me the time of day when my brand freaking new car gets hit right in front of their cameras! and he accused me of doing it myself! why the fuck would i ask them to see the cameras? im convinced the bitchy waitress did it on purpose.)

You must have done it yourself?? Um, since when does someone fuck up their own car??

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
Oh my I'm so sorry that happened to you. I can't understand when girls revert to junior high "I hate her so I'm gonna make her life living hell" bullshit. You don't deserve that at all. I think a lot of girls would flip out under the circumstances, especially since you were drinking.
-
Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
Usually, I think it's best not to go to the managers unless you have to, but some girls threatening to put you in the hospital is something they should know.

>:( !!!!! I kill him. I want to give you the biggest hug right now...

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
And I don't want you working at that club anymore. I don't care. Either quit dancing or drive somewhere else. Stay in a hotel if you have to.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
I'm sorry honey, that really sucks. And I've been there before. Its amazing how much venom some people have inside. These girls and the manager are very miserable people. Pray for them, they are sick. And please stop working at the club. You are young and beautiful (so I hear from other girls who have met you) and you don't deserve to be so miserable.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
 I'm sorry hon. You have every reason to be angry. Managers will never cop to liabilty- why volunteer to help the women you exploit? That would break the titty bar food chain ::)
My car window got smashed while I was doing a private show, I now realize it was someone who knew I was away from my vehicle & where I parked.....I'm grateful I figured that out much later, or I would have done some felonious ghetto type thing as revenge.
Leave this club, word is you're cute enough to be a top earner elsewhere. No one club can claim it's the only game in town in a major city.
As for waitress witch, Karma will get her. Karma is the law of "cause and effect"- people like her keep doing things like that until they cross the wrong person and get taken out. She'll get hers.

PART I:
britt244,
I'm surprised that your manager conducts passive surveillance versus running tape that would give him the option of storing a visual record whenever it's necessary. It can actually protect--or possibly incriminate, in your case--the club in the event of some bullshit jumping off in the parking lot (i.e., customers bringing bogus charges against bouncers, etc). If your manager does in fact use tapes, he may actually be protecting the culprit. Likewise, I doubt that the jerk would refrain from showing tape of you damaging "Waitress Witch's" property...::)
PART II:
Beware of the "Snowball Effect", sweetie. You were devastated earlier this week by your "best friend's" callous behavior and it seems that you might still be in an emotionally vulnerable space... Remember that "Waitress Witch" (good one, madmaxine) is/has been/will be an evil heifer (>:( ) for most of her natural life. Hopefully, your personal struggle won't magnify the effects of her pathetically bitchy presence in your workplace too much...

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
The bottom line is that you have to work somewhere else. I don't believe this one club is the ONLY one where you can make enough money. Hell, you could go to a nearby city within a 2 hr ride and make money if you had to. If you "can't" leave that club, it's just you making excuses. Really, it is.
No club is worth your safety and peace of mind hun. Move on!

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
You sure have been through the ringer lately, Britt, and you need a new horizon around you. Abraham Lincoln had good advice about this kind of thing: "sometimes when you have an elephant by the leg, it's better to let him go." This club sounds like an elephant you need to let go of.
You sure have some great advice and support from your sisters here--a lot of good people rooting for you. Keep the faith.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
seriously, thank you guys so much. i worked the day shift today and a different manager was just flat out cruel about it. he blamed it on me, said i was drinking so i must've been in an accident.
1. i offered to blow the breathalyzer, which they have in the office, and they would not let me.
2. if i was in fact so drunk, why did they let me leave? especially since a nearby club just had problems with a girl getting a dui and telling the cops that they left from work.
3. hey manager? dont want me drinking? dont buy me shots when i ask for them.
4. night manager from last night just asked me recently to start working on his shifts because i had cleaned up my act and i WASNT drinking in excess anymore. i was selling my 5 drinks and spreading them over the day, ordering bottled water in between, etc. yet i get wasted every day? way to contradict yourself.
anyway, looking at my car in the daylight, there is no possible way that i could have hit something hard enough that my mirror would be completely torn off, not just hanging (the wires are hanging out and it was clearly knocked off) and yet still only have scratches but no dents in my car. i got home today and i was taking pictures, and my dad came out and asked me who rubbed off some of the scratches. and my manager admitted to checking out my car.
he told me that there is a slim chance i wont be fired when the gm/part owner hears about this. he also asked how they filed the police report. the officer filed it as a hit and run. my manager told me that it's "obvious" i hit something myself. uh.. really? wouldnt the officer maybe mention that if he thought so? and isn't he the one trained to do things like that? yeah, k.
i go upstairs to get changed tonight to go home, and a bouncer says to me "did you hit a guard rail or something?" seriously. rub it in. yup, i hit a guard rail yet there are NO DENTS IN MY CAR, ONLY SCRATCHES.
other girls walked out to see it and agreed that it was clearly done on purpose. there's half a chance my dear managers could read this, and i don't care too much at this point. obviously they don't care enough to look out for me, because even *if* they were right, i shouldnt have been sent out the door so drunk that i would hit something and not remember it. it's a shame, because i seriously love my club. the girls, the managers until this happened... the other girls all heard what happened when i got there this morning and were sure that our day manager would take my side. when they heard that he didnt, they looked genuinely shocked. i have to say that it surprised me, too. i expected this out of the night manager because we've had problems before, but the day manager has always seemed fair and honest.
im just very worried about money because i did just get my new car, and im moving to a new apt that will be more expensive. i need to make sure its a decent money club, wherever i go.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
I think you should go somewhere else where you'll be appreciated. Why work somewhere that 's staff treats you so poorly? Is the money worth it? I mean, now you're spending money as an effect of working that club to fix your car. What's next? People have already threatened you bodily harm. Why compromise your safety for the opportunity to make quick easy cash? there's a million strip clubs. I used to fly to FL every weekend to work when I was in college because the money was better. There's always other places. No place is worth being around people like that.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
This is a prime example of how dog-eat-dog the sex biz is...For them to take your side (at least publicly) puts them in a position. If she wanted to, the Waitress Witch could threaten to sue if she was terminated for "allegedly" damaging your car...Why would they volunteer to take a hit when they can pass all of it on to you?
Luckily some of the girls understand if it could happen to you, it could happen to them, hence the sympathy...
I suggest you leave the club temporarily, and let Waitress Witch get run out while you're gone. Someone in that club is going to get rid of her before she jams them up.
Good luck and let this be a lesson to all- the tighter the money gets in this business, the harder everyone is going to be.

i wish this was an option. ive left once before. im betting that based on the way things were last night and today, i wont be back if i leave again. but yeah, this bitch is going to get whats coming to her. when i was upset last night and today, at least 5 other girls told me stories about problems theyve had with her bring rude, stealing a tip from a vip room, her being just generally lazy and taking forever to serve them, and more. furthermore, she was fired once before! and then they rehired her. like, dont they get it? when i left before, it was on my own. i wasnt fired. she was. i make them money. she doesnt. i know we're all replaceable, but really now! i just didnt expect this reaction at all.
oh, and as for the camera.. they "reviewed" the tape in front of me. i couldnt say if it was honestly from yesterday or not. my car didnt show up. now, i know that i was parked right under a camera. but supposedly the "angle" didnt catch my car. im not sure if i buy it.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
Do they not have valet service at the club?
I'd take a video from your phone of your car's condition from now onevery time you pull into the lot. I'm a bit paranoid though!!!
good luck with everything hun : )

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
After all this, you're STILL going to work at this club??? IMO, you're just asking for more trouble. I'm sorry, but I can't sympathize with someone who keeps going back to stick her head in the fire, so to speak.
Please just go to another club. There are more than one in your area where you can make money. You just have to get this idea that this club is the only one out of your head. Believe me, that's all in your head. There IS another place you make enough money to pay the bills.
Also, maybe you should consider not taking on so many new expenses like new car and apartment. Perhaps living a tad more practically will help your situation too. Having high bills adds a lot of unneeded pressure and stress....

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
honestly, ive kinda gone through the list of places that i know of that are good money makers around here. my ex works at one club, so im saving myself the trouble and not bothering to go back there, and hustler is the other. and i cant do it. not that i think they'd even let me back. im looking at trying out new clubs that are a longer drive, though.
my new car is only a new expense to me right now. my down payment is what i was trying to make back to be in the clear. other than that, i still had 2 years left on the payment of my old car and this one is the same price per month. the new apartment, well, there arent many one bedrooms in decent areas that are cheaper than the one im moving to. and i HAVE to be in a safe, nice place after all the crap im going through. im not worried about it for the time being, just when school starts. thats when driving or making a little less may be a problem since i'll have less time to work. ya know?

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
what the fuck???? this club sounds like a terrible place... im so sorry this happened to you!!!! god, there are some shady terrible people that work in this industry..... they will get there own Britt!!!
-
Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
You can't work at Hustler? I know working for Deja Vu company is far from ideal, but there's money at that club. Why can't you work there?
-
Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
^ its a very long story why i won't/can't work there, but the short version is
a) i dont think they'd hire me back. they've been firing girls that have been there for 2 years after putting them on a "fat" list. girls who i know for a fact are not fat and then in turn were hired at my old club, which is pretty strict, imo at least, about hiring girls. i was told the first time i auditioned at my current club that i needed to lose weight.
b) i cant work with one of the managers. it isnt a simple personality conflict, it started when i met him out at a bar one night, the day i got hired as a waitress at hustler and neither of us realized who the other was, continued through my waitressing there and then made it impossible for me to dance there.
anyway, i'm planning on auditioning at a new place on tuesday anyway ;D i need a change of scenery. going back to a club ive worked at before might put me in a not so good place. there are bad feelings both ways if i go back to hustler.
and i think i'm pressing charges about my car. i have threatening text messages saved to my phone from last week, so at the very least i can press charges for those.

 :grouphug: :goodvibes
Dang girl, if it's any consolation, you must be pretty cute for these girls to freak out so badly over you...(I've noticed these Loser-type chicks always bristle at the girls that intimidate them the most looks-wise. Women can be so petty.) Whatever happens, "your face is your fortune". You'll be fine in the end.

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
^ haha thanks! thats what one of my friends at work said to me the other day. she told me that its their loss if im not working there anymore, whether i end it or they do. i make them money. i do well for myself. i have customers and i'll be ok. i always am.
i really appreciate all the support girls! :grouphug: i feel like lately one thing after the next is going wrong in my life, but it cant get worse forever, right? :crossfing

Re: last night i was that crazy stripper we all make fun of
It will all get better as you put yourself in motion and start to make these changes--good idea too to press charges, because it will get some respect into these people, if only to save their own hides. We're rooting for you.
