Rant...dominate vs. dominant
I wish I had a device that would deliver a mild shock to people who do this over their keyboard....I can't recall anyone here doing it, but AARRGh
DomiNATE is a verb. "I dominate my wife by making her take my name."
DomiNANT is an adjective. "I am looking for dominant wife that will ask me to take her name."
All you people who want a "dominate" partner...YOU'RE SAYING IT NONSENSICALLY.
Rant over.
Re: Rant...dominate vs. dominant
I would like to add to this thread by explaining the difference between "weary" and "wary." I'm getting very weary of reading things like, "I'm weary of this situation because it looks suspicious." Weary means tired, drained, exhausted. Wary means suspicious, apprehensive, cautious. That little e makes a big difference.
Re: Rant...dominate vs. dominant
Thank the effin gods, Mr Hyde. Seriously. It's one of my biggest pet peeves as a dominant. Between that and my own lil obsession with the Dom/Domme thing... heh, but that's a whole other story.
You'd might be shocked at the number of folks in the BDSM scene AND profession who get dominant/dominate wrong. Ugh.
