What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
Im curious as to what various excuses you get from customers when it comes to dances, drink sales, champagne room, etc.
And what do you say for each excuse to make the sale?

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
I'm not ready yet, I need another drink first. - "mmm, I'm ready for you right now." "Don't worry, I'll get you ready."
I don't have any money. - "*giggle* that's why the Goddess made ATM's"
I can't cause my son/nephew/etc is here. - "then be a good example and teach them to support single moms!" (like the t-shirt)

When guys say "you only want me for my money" I always say "well..you only want me for my body...thank GOD we each have what the other needs..how cool is THAT? Lets trade..."

I like that Cameron, lol! It evens out the playing field a little and makes us not sound so sneaky for asking for what we want!

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
Custie: "Maybe later"
Me: "I might not be available later but I am ready for a warm up right now"
Custie: "I just got here"
Me: "Ok I'll check back on u soon"
(I dont push this one coz its annoying for guys who just walked in to get hustled. They need to sit down, check out the surroundings (and dancers), have a drink. Then they will be ready. But pushing them too early will kill your chances later.
My non pushy approach often results in them approaching me later when they are ready coz they remembered me as being friendly and not pushy.
Custie: "Im just here for a few quiet drinks"
Me: "Well that's a bit boring, maybe I can spice things up a bit"
Me (in bad mood): "well why dont u go to a pub then?"
Custie in a group: "I dont have enough money"
Me: "Well why don't u all come for a dance and then it's cheaper as u can split the cost?"
Custie: "I'll want to touch you though"
Me: "Well if u do get tempted I will make u sit on your hands"

I feel your frustration on this but from their perspective a lap dance can be quite intimidating and confronting> Many men get very nervous just talking to beautiful women so often this excuse is not bullshit. Just be friendly and then remember to approach them a bit later, believe me it will work much better.

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
"I just got here" - did you come here to be alone? *OR* oh I was just saying hi for now but u can let me know when you want to play later (not if...when!)

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
Those aren't always excuses.
After 10+ years, I still have that nervous/excited feeling when I walk into the club. I like to get settled and tip stageside for a little while (20 minutes or so) to relax and feel comfortable before I get my first dance. I tend not to go to alcohol-serving clubs, but I understand the "I need a few drinks first" or "I just got here" sentiment. Also, a little teasing and a little "warm-up" makes the dances I do get much better.
Of course, I have experienced dancers so reassuring and friendly about me saying "No thanks, I just got here" that I suddenly find myself at ease and I am ready for a dance. Something as simple as: "Well have fun tonight and when you're feeling up to it, come find me" said with a smile usually seals the deal for when I am ready.

oh my goodness, that is so good! and it will keep me in a good mood too wen i use that! :D
i dont know if its just british guys but they all seem so damn miserable wen they come in the clubs. they dont smile. the just stand at the walls, watching and being nervous and intimidated and then some of them are rude to you, or they ignore you, or they are arrogant kunts who try and make you feel like an idiot. its so annoying! doesnt make work fun wen you gotta go round trying to get guys into a good mood.
another one i get a lot is "no, i dont want a dance, its too frustrating cos you cant touch, so its a let down"
sometimes, i say, its called strip TEASE for a reason. these clubs were made for you guys and you came in here tonight so whats your REAL excuse?

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
Point blank, I think it's a waste of energy trying to figure out a way to turn a no into a yes. Know what I mean? If a guy says he doesn't want a dance, he doesn't want one. No big deal, there are lots of other guys in the club and some will want dances from you. I personally think it is much more productive to focus on making the most amount of money you can from guys who want dances from you than trying to get a dance from those who don't.
Nobody is going to be every man's type. Also, not every guy in the club wants a dance or has the funds to get one. You can't suck blood from a stone, they say, and I personally think it keeps you a lot more sane to politely walk away from those who say no than to try to find a way to turn it into a yes.

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
I just got here: "i know you did because I watched you walk in... you are sooo hot/cute/ sexy or blah blah"
if that makes them lblush they will do a double take and have more interested in you.

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
You shouldn't take the rejection personally. When I visit a club, I already know whether I am going to do any dances, how many or what type I'm going to do, and most likely who I'm going to do them with. I don't drink so my position isn't likely to change after awhile. My standard excuse is I'm waiting for so-and-so, which is more often than not the truth. I feel badly for the girl I'm declining to dance with but not so badly as to dance with her anyhow.

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
Customer: "I have a girlfriend."
Me: "She's not here. She'll never know."
Actually I don't do this, but I think if I did I might make more money.

Do lines like these actually work? I feel like when i say something similar to it there's always an awkward silence between me and the customer like they think it was a cute line but that doesn't change their minds - how can I get it to work?

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
what i hate the most!
1. " I don't pay for dances "
wtf is up with that?!?! why are you here? for a free show? LOSER! just must be broke or looking for the nasty trashy girl that'll let you get away with more for nothing! and if they do go for that girl, then i make sure to tell them please don't feel special, because if she did that for you she does it for anyone, no matter what she tells you. I hate nasty girls, they give us all a bad name and make it hard to make money. I can't compete with that!
2. " Can I get a deal "
umm..NO! do i go to your job at burger king and ask for a free burger?
3. " I'm looking for the blonde/brunette/red head, do you know her name or know where she is?"
I always say I don't know them, but if i do, and they're my girl, then ill go get her for them, for a finders fee of course.
thats all i got for now, all of you have great ideas. and the basic, "i just got here" and "maybe later" .

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
Custy: " I just got here"
Me: "Me too, you can break me in easy."
Custy: "I'm not ready yet."
Me: "Too bad, you look so hot!"
Custy: "Are there any deals?"
This is perfect because the custy has committed to buying, now we're just negotiating price.
Me: "Of course lover ..... [just insert whatever multi-song deal the club has, if they have one, or make up something that presents multiple songs at higher prices, usually multiples of the single dance price]" For example - Me: "Of course lover, three for sixty." [if the club's single dance price is $20]
Selling is a process, master the process and you will make more money. The process is fairly simple:
1) GREET. Establish a little rapport with the customer.
2) QUALIFY. Here you are trying to find out what the custy wants, Champaign room, VIP, couch, table, or just to waste time.
3) PRESENT. Here you present based on what you qualified the custy for. For example, during (2) you found out the custy is travelling on business and likes a good cigar and some company. Thus you're going to present a trip to the champaign room for a smoke and some uninterrupted time together for $300. Emphasize the benefits, your time together, his choice of fine cigars, how he'll feel so much better there. Now is when you will hear objections. Meet them and overcome them. For example, the custy wants to know why so much for a cigar and a trip to the champaign room, you can now re qualify the custy, or present more benefits or reassure the custy that you are "the best". An objection is a good thing because it allows you the opportunity to overcome it.
4) CLOSE. Make the deal. Make it happen. "Let's go baby."

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
So I'm the only one who after a guy says no just rolls my eyes and walks away?
Okay, I don't always roll my eyes - only when they've clearly been enjoying my company, and are too cheap or too whatever to actually pay for it. But I don't really try to convince guys after they've said no.
-
Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?

sometimes after they say no and then continue talking I just walk away while they are mid-sentence hehe.

That is an example of the "close early and close often" school of thought. It works, IF you move on to the next custy and start the process over. This is how Walmart works. Volume, Volume, Volume! In some clubs it works too. But, master the whole selling process and you will make more money.

Re: What are the top 5 excuses a customer gives you and how do you get around it?
::) hmmm, let me think, lol
OH yea, I hate when they say this, i'm just here for the scenery, if i get rejected I usually just walk away and if it's really slow and the guy was cool I might go back and see if he's interested.
This is my first time in a strip club, i'm scared or embarrassed, this one is quite common and I do try to get a dance out of this one, I tell them I will dance really good for them, even though I don't do anything different, they just think I am :) I had one of these Sunday and he ended up getting a VIP from me.
Then there's the ones that are usual, I just got here, I need to drink and i'm waiting for another dancer, which I will leave and maybe come back unless he says he's waiting for another dancer, then that would be rude for me to go back.
