HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
Hi all
I have read a few threads here about PSO work and picked up some great tips.
I am starting on Friday with an Australian company that runs two lines... one is just a phone sex line (I can handle that I have been doing webcam shows for ages now can handle the dirty talk/fantasies etc) but WTF am I meant to chat about on the line where I am not allowed to talk about sexual things?
I asked the lady I have been talking t from the company, she was rather uunhelpful. She said i should be cheeky and flirty and that the client can say whatever they like but legally I can't talk about anything sexual. So..... I guess I need to to find out what the limits are between "cheeky" and "sexual"
But my question is.... has anyone worked on this sort of chatline before? any tips or even a heads up as to what to expect from this type of customer?
Thanks and btw I love this website it is great, informative and entertaining. :-\ nervous flicky
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
Ok lol obviouslyt no one ele has any idea more than me! I am sitting here waiting for the phone to ring, sigh, slow morning shift it seems.
As far as I can gather this "no explicit sex talk" line is just a lower paying line and if you keep the guy on for 30 mins you can start talking "explicitly", which means I am allowed to say cunt and cock etc and what I want him to do with them......
hmmmm so what can I do with the ones that just sit there and say NOTHING other than hi when i can't talk dirty????? argh this is hard I swear talking dirty is the easiest bit, all this chitchat business is drilling me.
PS just had a Domme call, now how the heck am I meant to dom someone over the phone, when nis fantasy is to be a sex slave without mentioning any naughty stuf? I probably crossed the line, but sheesh, I feel like a moron avoiding using any "sex" words.
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
I wish I could help you on this one but I can't. Maybe they only want you to use phrases with "double meanings" and "implied sexuality"?
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
Hi Monica
I think you're right..... lol my only problem is I have the subtlty of a sledgehammer.... my supervisor has given me a few stock phrases ie... *giggle* "oh you're such a naughty boy!" *giggling moany noise* "Oh! You're a BAD boy...." and I must admitt it does seem to fill in the gaps.... but I hate myself doing it! I have never been a giggly kind of girl, I am starting to hate my character... I wanna kick "Kelly" in the head every time she calls someone a "bad boy" it's so nauseatingly stereotypical.... that and the picture of "me" on their webpage is totally lame! "Kelly" has bad hair and really dorky white denim shorts that come up to her armpits.... lol I can't believe people actually look at "Kelly" and wanna call her!
But the XXX calls are fine, fun even, and on the weekend I was getting 50/50 porn calls and *gag* "flirt" calls. I thinmk I'll hang in there and if I can prove myself worth it to the company I'll ask to be given a DOmme character online instead blonde "lil Kelly". I would much rather be having boys stickj things up their bum for me than giggling at them.
Note to other Aussies that are getting into phone sex work, I think there are two types of numbers that the customers call in on, the "1902" numbers are NOT allowed to be sexually explicit, and there are government censors ringing up to check! In fact I had one guy who spent ten minutes trying to get me to say "cunt" for him I have a feeling he was either an absolute wanker who was happy to spend $30-$40 trying to hear a girl say a dirty word or he was maybe a government censor..... arghhhh
Thanks for letting me ramble on...
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
I worked for a textsex company that had the same rules. But I don't know what advice to give because at least I had a minute or two to think about how I should allude things. I got in trouble for the word 'panties' though. -.-
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
Argh panties are sexually explicit??? Lol. I have no idea what "normal" (gevernment cnesor types) consider "sexual" lol, all my friends are the types to sit around and talk about the condition of their cunts over a cup if tea. That's normal as far as I'm concerned.
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
it can be done, there is a friends only section on niteflirt not sure how those girls do it, but you might want to check them out and see how it works or check out the website www.psodivas.com they are a great resource for phone sex. and friends who get paid to chat on the phone .

Rep for Hire. She does not hire for phone sex, but other reasons. I did work for her.
Should have a listing on She does NOT like sex talk, she wants guys to just get familiar with you and chat it up. It does work.
Good luck.
Please remember if you are looking under PSO....this does mean phone sex chat in one form or another. Always ;)
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
Interesting. My only experience as a PSO was as a phone domme. I'm not exactly sure how you would make someone a "sex slave" without mentioning sex...but there are plenty of ways you could domme someone without explicit sexual words. Talking down, insults and humiliation, giving (non-sexual) orders, teasing. If he really wanted a specifically sexual scenario, you should probably tell him to call you back on another line that accepts those calls. If you are allowed to refer like that.
I've never worked a flirt line, but I see ads for them in the back of the weekly paper here. The ads try to sell the illusion that the girls are horny, local girls calling the chatline to meet nice men. I assume callers just want to flirt and make small talk with a real, live girl. Probably the same kind of small talk you'd make at a bar -- where you're from, your interests, astrological sign, how their day was. I would do this the same way I make conversation at the club, especially when someone is buying my time and I have time to fill. Say normal stuff, but with a flirtatious tone of voice. You'd be amazed how much tone of voice matters, even when you're face-to-face with someone, and of course, on the phone it's all they have to go by.
Good luck. Sounds fun!
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
not to go too off topic but what can one make doing pso work on an average shift (or however you work it?
i have considered it but not sure...
Re: HELP!! new job PSO - nonsexual chat?????
Unfortunately thats kind of like asking what a person can make stripping in one shift... honestly your pay varies drastically depending on where you work, what shifts you work, how many shifts you work (to build up regulars) and how good you are at it.
You can make between 0.20-$3.00 ($3.00 working NF or direct dial doing your own advertising etc) per minute of talk time, but you dont make anything when you are not talking.
I totally recommend just jumping in the deep end and doing it, and seeing how you go, but keep in mind that you need a month or so to build up some regular clientèle before you will make a steady income. All you need if a phone line and a good imagination.
