Taking off the baby weight. Otherwise known as God I'm Still Huge!
Well this is my way of motivating myself. I got the Ok to exercise a couple of weeks ago, and just started a serious diet. Well its as serious as it can be while I'm still nursing. So please everybody be kind, I know I'm fat, my 3yr old still calls me Mommy Whale sometimes. I'll be updating with pics every week or two and hope this embarrasement factor will keep me in line (& on the stairmaster). Anbody else trying to shed a few feel free to post pics on this thread as well.
Also added some head shots taken a couple of days ago. Thinking about getting green contacts. (These are completely unmessed with and I'm not wearing contacts of any kind.) What do you think? Stay with my natural blue eyes or try green? I really want something to make me feel pretty again while I'm trying to loose the weight. (Had to cut my hair to keep Ethan from pulling it which didn't help with the self image much.)

Well i guess the grass is always greener on the other side, no pun intended. I have naturally green eyes and wear blue contacts. I would say stay with the blue eyes, they are beautiful. Maybe go get a mani/pedi or tan to help you feel pretty again?

You look GREAT!! I cnat believe you just popped out another human being!!
As for the contacts...I like the blue(being blue eyed myself I'm a bit partial!) but get the green. It isnt like its permanent..if you dont like it, take 'em out. But it may be fun for a change. I've had green and purple contacts...but sadly contacts bug me too much and I cant wear them
Re: Taking off the baby weight. Otherwise known as God I'm Still Huge!
I agree, you look amazing! You look better than me, and I'm 21 and have never had a child :-(
And your eyes are beautiful!
But I know the feeling. I find that if I take better care of msyelf in all areas, it makes me more motivated to keep on the treadmill and eat right. So I'll spend a lot of time on little, inexpensive things to help keep me going, such as doing my nails. I know with kids to look after, long acrylics probably aren't practical, but you can keep your nails natural and short, but use pretty, bright colors or do a simple diy french manicure. Maybe get eyebrow waxes if you dont already. It's such a simple change that can imrpove the look of your whole face. Also try self tanners, or some subtle highlights. All little, inexpensive changes that have dramatic results and can help keep you motivated and feeling gorgeous.

You are most assuredly not huge. And baby weight is always a bitch to shed.
You'll get there. :)
Re: Taking off the baby weight. Otherwise known as God I'm Still Huge!
Thanks guys! :thanx: Everyone is telling me the weight isn't that bad, but I'm almost 35 lbs over my normal weight. :yikes: About 5 of that I know from experience I won't lose until after I'm done breastfeeding, but being this big is killing me. I'm only 4"11", carrying extra weight around makes my legs look super short and stumpy. Posting that pic was one of the hardest, most embarassing things ever. I'm hoping embarassing myself will keep me on track. I think it is bothering me so much because it has been around 2 mos since I had my son, and am just now getting the ok to work out because my C-section incision opened up in several places a couple of weeks after the fact (because of this my hubby freaked and made sure I ate VERY well and very healthy to help with healing for a while).
As for making myself feel better, I already get regular mani (acrylics) and pedis, facials and keep my eyebrows groomed & fake tan (though not as heavily as when I danced), and new clothes are just making it worse (shopping is a bitch when your this chubby). That's why I thought of contacts I just want something to perk me up while I'm waiting to see results.
BTW: I've lost 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks! There is hope!

Don't worry!!! My body really held onto some extra weight until about 4 months after giving birth. I think the body is just keeping that weight for extra insurance or something for breastfeeding. You'll lose it :) .
Oh ya, and it's almost cute that you're so embarrassed about those pictures because they actually are so adorable.

First of all I think you look great! Second it takes times to for your body to get back to normal after having a child. Keep eating healthy and exercise, also playing with your children can get you back in shape.

Good luck! You look great for having a baby so recently. You'll lose the weight.

I am right there with ya sista! I have got to lose 30 lbs, that I gained while pregnant with my son! I hate dieting but I love working out...So I am trying to find a way to make them meet in the middle and keep myself from feeling as though I am in diet mode! I am currently working out on the treadmil 6 days a week for 2 hours per day (once in the morning and once in the evening) and 4 day a week I am strength training on top of the cardio. It is a lot but I am eating very healthy and taking Salmon oil pills with each meal (1 with first three meals and 2 with the last three meal) to help my joints through such a hard workout schedule. Eating small portioned meals 6 times a day help me from over eating and keeps me on a schedule... I done this with my last pregnancy and lost 40 lbs in just a few months.. I was losing about 9-12 lbs a month. Doesn't sound like a lot but it averages out to about 3 lbs a week loosing anymore than that is just not healthy for your body and you will end up flabby too! strength training is important so that when your done you are back to prepregnancy weight and tone/toner than berfore you got pregnant! Good luck, you'll get to where you need to be!

Hello. From one new mommy to another you look fantastic. I myself just had TWINS (girls) 8 weeks ago via c-sec. and I am ready to get back to work! I understand trying to perk yourself up in the littlest of ways to make you feel sexy again. I breastfed for 4 weeks but had to stop being that it was too hard to keep up with the demands of the little ones! When I started dancing( at 33) I weighed 130 lbs. I've always been fit but now weighing 140lbs at 5'7" I feel more sensual. I embrace my new curves thanks to my daughters. Sorry for "preaching" but enjoy the new you although I understand wanting to be presentable stage material! The little things that make you feel sexy will get you back on stage!
