Obstacles for starting a new private dance company
Hey guys,
I've been thinking about starting a private dance company. The business seems too good to be true: Hire some hot girls to dance, a driver, and a phone operator. Upfront expenses are just an office, maybe some dancing lessons, and advertising.
This sounds too easy but I can't see any other issues or expenses with starting an agency. If anyone else owns their own business what am I leaving out or not considering?

you will need to have more then that, but without knowing where your from we cannot tell you about the laws in your local and state area.
Good luck, but there are way to many agencies already, the market it ultra competitive!

As Alee said there is more to it than that. It takes quite a bit of time and dedication. Hiring quality entertainers is not as easy as it may seem, and even once you've signed them not all are prompt and as reliable as they like to make you believe. In addition to that you need to either represent entertainers that you trust to send you your booking fees or get a credit card processor to secure your fee via credit card. If you have any specific questions feel free to contact me.

... and don't forget the future legal costs which will be associated with your defense against 'promoting prostitution' charges when some of your girls go the extra mile to make sure that customers are 'satisfied'.

Bwhahahahahahaha! You've got a bit to learn! there's lots of advice here on running your own agency. Read up and maybe you can stay out of jail or even make a couple of dollars}:D.
Then you have people like me coming along to eat your lunch. Try working for an agency as a driver or dancer for a while first, then you'll have a better idea as to just how hard this business can be on the uninitiated.
Ask Centerfold Strips how easy running an agency is...they are all but out of business these days.

Yeah- its hard to run a "private dance" company without escorting. You have to have your dancers sign a contract saying that they are NOT performing sexual acts- even if they are- to cover yourself legally.
Re: Obstacles for starting a new private dance company
I signed up for this forum to learn about exactly this. After dancing at a couple clubs I have been doing some private dancing and find that I kind of like it because I don't have to deal with alot of the drama that I do from some of the clubs that I have worked at. I haven't had a any real bad experiences so far, but I am sure that is just a matter of time::) . It has occured to me that it might be a good business to be in as an owner some day down the road. Anyway, hello to everyone and I will be followowing this thread closely!

Ya' think so? Some of the comments in this thread kind of had me worried a little bit! I don't think I am ready to get into owning a private dance company just yet, but it is something that I am for sure wanting to consider for the future. I can only handle dealing with these guys for so long and I'm not going to stay this hot forever either ya' know!;D
