OK an oldie but goodie from a behavioral study, plus something I noticed today when I went (alone) to the liquor store.
* At the club, whether you are a drinker OR a non-drinker...walk around with a drink in your hand. Men find this appealing b/c 1) it looks like you have already "started the party" and they want to join it, 2) you look like you are relaxing, and 3) drinking + fun are linked in the male mind, whether he drinks or not. ("Party atmosphere.")
BTW if you need to lose the drink to sell more (like at a quota club) "accidentally" spill it or "forget" it somewhere. If the guy claims to be a non-drinker, don't say that you are too- he might just be testing you. If he would prefer for you to stay "sober" for the rest of the evening, do as he says. It makes you appear more invested in his pleasure/entertainment.
I wear Orange essential oil- its uplifting, sweet without being overpowering, has sedative and aphrodisiac qualities. Its also great for people who are ultra sensitive to smells and react badly to perfume.
An old study claimed men were most aroused/pleased by the scents of vanilla and cucumber melon. (Both cheap body spray staples!.) I also recall Avon had some crazy-popular scents in the 1980s....if you could find out which ones they are & use similar scents, it would trigger some customers in a positive way to respond well to you.
In my opinion, humans are condition to slightly ignore scents....but in the strip club the customers are encouraged to enjoy sensation (smell, touch, sight.) Using scent to your advantage isn't overt but it IS effective.
From reading this thread and many others, I have discovered that me being too casual or talking too much has put me in the "Friend zone" (where they like you but don't want to give you money). What I've learned is to stay on task, stay sexy, stay playing the part, don't let them lose attention and get back in the "conscious" zone. The whole idea is to tap in to their unconscious and what turns men on and make them give us money and keep them hypnotized.
Sorry I wish I had more to contribute as far as actual subconscious moves or tips but this is what I have gotten out of it and what has helped me! I don't have actual tips but I know I was much more in tuned with it in a darker more mysterious looking club where I felt more "in the zone". Working at a dive bar now with pretty bright lights is throwing me off...
I agree. A guy I dated when I was in my early 20s told me that "some strippers" just know what to say & how to say it to make the guy urgent to get back to the lap dance area. Now I understand the girls would zero in on the guy's sexual urges and play them. (I was much more innocent in youth, lol.)
Don't care about what the customer thinks of your stripper persona...He is not your dad. You will most likely never see him again. Say what you need to say to hold his attention and his desire.
don't know if this is relevant but I've found if I have sex or at least have an orgasm by myself before work, I BANK, especially if I don't shower after and keep the 'sex smell' on me...or maybe I'm just more relaxed and happier and make more. I don't know, but it works.
It's definitely the smell. (Also the relaxing effect on your demeanor helps too.)
These are just personal observations, but- I've noticed as I age, I am more sensitive to color & how it affects me. This is kind of re-stating the important of picking costume & makeup colors carefully. I'm also more relaxed these days so I have more energy to notice how the color of some random thing might affect me emotionally. (Sadly I really didn't think of this much when I was a dancer b/c my days were blurs of stress and exhaustion.)
& (Warning ahead) slightly weird/creepy tip- men have said to me often over the years that the softness of my skin was really remarkable. Yeah I know it sounds like something out of a horror film- who wants random customers touching your skin all night? BUT you can do everything to make it LOOK dewy, soft, delicate and warm. Plus only allowing customers small touches of skin during dances is better for everyone, for lots of reasons. (BTW I started at a no-alcohol bar & I remember most of the girls would run into the dressing room and wipe themselves with baby wipes. I know know that some of them were probably allowing touching on non-intimate areas, as gross as it made them feel.....It WAS harder to sell dances there due to lack of booze.)
OK, the reasoning behind this one sounds crazy, but bare with me.
I was watching a special years before I started dancing, about the male mind. I wish for the love of God I could remember what it was called, because I'm sure it was full of other useful tidbits, but I do remember one thing.
Red. The color red is the most attention grabbing for a male. Red is the color of blood, which envokes men to live dangerously (spending more money than they should without caring about it lol). Red is the color of passion. Many things made to get attention are red. Stop signs, fire trucks, so on and so forth.
But the crazy sounding part, here it goes, baboons. If anyone here believes in evolution, the color red is hardwired into a man's brain to literally want to phuck. I thought it was absolutely crazy sounding myself. But they went on and on about how because a baboons bottom is bright red, and how when men see the color red it subconsciously makes them think about sex
They conducted an experiment of a woman in a blue dress walking around NYC trying to find someone to share a cab with, barely any takers. SAME woman, same dress, but in red, and nobody turned her down.
They also showed a picture of a woman straddling a chair in a cabana, in a white bikini and asked 10 guys to write down the number one word that came to their mind. They almost all said vacation, or something else completely lame lol. Only a few mentioned the girl being attractive. Same picture, same girl, photoshopped into a red bikini, and most of the answers were 'porn, sex, hot'.
So in conclusion, when in doubt wear red. The first time I tried it at work, I had asked everybody for dances, and was getting turned down left and right. Went to the back, changed into a red bra, a Walmart bra at that, and I ended up getting 3 VIPs that night. No joke.ever since I always keep something red in my bag, just in case.
I rarely make money in my red dresses. I will give it another shot but its certainly not a go to colour for me. Interesting post tho.
I do a lot of subliminal up-selling to customers definitely!
A few tricks I use:
- I always ask "do you want to get some dances??" , it's ALWAYS plural, never single, so they automatically assume they are getting a few to begin with...
(this works 9 out of 10 times I'd say unless they literally have a budget, don't want to be in the club, or are broke asses.)
- I always say what I WANT the customer to do at the end.., like..
"So you want to do a few dances, or maybe get a private room together??"
They will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go with the LAST thing you suggest! This is classic sales 101.
I use to use it in spa sales beauty industry to sell products all the damn time. Works 9 out of 10 times at least.
- During dances, I always ask what the customer WANTS, like.. "do you like boobs or ass more?" "what are your erogenous zones? what turns you on?" , and then I customize my dance to what they like, if they like ass, I show my ass to them more, etc. ; this also helps with selling more dances. I make sure I ask if they want another dance with my boobs facing them also, this always helps; and they always say yes.
And then when they do I say "oh good... the first one is just like a little warm up anyhow..." and then they proceed to get 3-5 more dances.
- I always ask for tips. After everything. After I talk to someone, after I do dances, after VIP, EVERYTHING. Never be afraid to ask for more...
So when I give prices for things, it's always "$300 plus tip" or "$25 plus tip" ; , you will make twice as much just using this general rule of thumb.
Hope this helps everyone, this industry is ALL about how to sell.
I found this and a lot of it is legit and very applicable to dancing

lol if this is not a troll ? - good nutrition, creamy bodywash, occasional scrubs. Don't apply lotion or body oil right before work- it will be sticky and ugh. Apply lotion after baths or showers, etc...
BTW older women can have awesome looking skin....They just need to apply makeup properly and take oil supplements...

This page is good for dancers, or maybe even cam models, if you look into all 32 articles she has written there's some really useful stuff in there about sales. Also, she has her Stripper School as well, and I purchased her e-book a few years ago and a lot of her tips REALLY helped me. I was making more than any girl in my club at that time. I had forgotten all about it until a few nights ago when I stumbled across her articles bc I'm in Vegas and I really want to make money since it is so competitive.
