Do people really want to see portable poles at a party?
it would be a great selling point CTstrip and no doubt very popular with bucks parties
............you can also then expand out into hens nights offering a free lesson in their home.
The only question I have is "how long would it take to set up and take down" ? It wouldn't really be worthwhile for australian PP strippers as they all can be so damn busy sometimes ... this would be a bane not a blessing.
It would work more if they had waitresses for a few hours .. thus the waitresses could use the pole as a way to encourage tips with plenty of time to set up and take down since most waitressing gigs are min. 2-3 hours.
I dunno... the removable pole Alena has takes a total of like 5min to set up and take down... but the case is big and heavy... i've never done a PP though so I dunno how they run but maybe you could get your security to set it up while you get changed? Then take it down when you get dressed?
^lol it took me an hour to set up, w/ the help of my neighbor... probably because i'm a perfectionist though and wanted it PERFECTLY straight and in the right spot.
Phew advertising... Well if we're doing it I think the X-pole is the best darn removable pole out there! I don't take mine to parties but I hear they're coming out with a new stage pole that sounds simply put amazing compared to the ones on the market (such as the stage being round with enough space to do floor moves and no weights required). I'm about to pee my pants with excitement waiting but I hear they have patents pending that need to be dealt with before publishing it.
That's the biggest turn off about getting one of those portable poles, the set up and take down time, what if you have to get out of there quickly? Im willing to leave behind a $60 radio and $10 strobelight but those poles are too expensives to lose out on. Personally, most pole tricks bore the living shit out of me, and there are so many other interesting things I can think of that can be done at a party (For example, The FIST! That always gets a crowd excitied!!!). Poles just don't have a place at private parties.
Actually poles make a huge difference at parties...for men and women!
I sell the Platinum Stages SuperPole. I have sold poles to many stag girls...one of which is now the top booked stag girl in the province. She charges a bit more..so it is worth it for her!
I have the PS Removable, and a stage that can hold the PS pole ( I designed it myself and had it custom made).
Setup time on the PS is 8 minutes.....that is if I have to go into another room for the stool!!
Tear down is less that 5 mins...loosen, lean, pop off bases, unscrew...put it in the box and go!
I have heard some have difficulties...I do an online set up with all my customer's to ensure they fully understand how to set it up....and no it is not that difficult, figuring out the stud finder is harder!!! LOL
agreed with alena.
the ps superpole, just minutes to put up and down. even faster if you have a small level.
the stage, once the initial drilling the top on stuff happens, it's not too bad
what takes the longest time with the stage is the carting the 2 stage pieces and sandbags. once you get all that inside and have put it together a few times it should take no more than 20-30 minutes without the acrylic sides on, with the sides on add another 10 minutes or so.
tear is way faster...takes me about 15 minutes.
Actually I'm with CTstrip on this one.. what if you have to get out fast? There are dangers in our job and that 5 minutes can mean either leaving behind a $300 work tool or staying to get it down and being raped. :/
It wouldn't work for Australian 'stag' / private party strippers are usually the booking is only 30 minutes long.. and if she has multiple bookings... anything that is going to take ANY time to set up and take down is just a plain hassle. This is why I said it would work for the waitresses more than the strippers.
Plus Lysondra is correct. There are dangers where you have to leave RIGHT NOW not a minute later in order to ensure your own safety (even with someone there as security).
So which one would be more convenient and less hassle, the X-POLE or the PS POLE?
PS...but that is just my opinion!
some of my students have the X...they like it for some of the reasons...but dislike it for the remainder.
But this is the same with all poles.....you will get some that prefer "A" over "B".
It is all personal choice.
Have it in the contract that the pole is yours and if you have to leave it behind due to above mentioned events taking place , they have either so many days to return said pole or buy you a new one . I am sure they wont want their wife coming home and seeing and it would be UPS'd back to your office asap . If not then you can take them to court . Thats what I am going to do anyways
^ 'contract'? There's no contracts.
Surprisingly, the agency I used to work for used to get quite a lot of requests for a pole dancer. Usually for like birthdays and stuff, when the parents didn't want a hardcore strip show, or when it was older people who just wanted something sexy and tame. They used to get asked a lot for a girl to just get topless and dance on a pole.
Heh... I did a 60th birthday in a private function room once, and they asked for a pole dancer (this was back when I actually could do some pole tricks) and said they had a pole there that I could dance on. Upon arriving, I see no pole, and they pointed out a square pillar in the middle of the room that was at least a foot thick. Then they complained because I did no pole tricks.
lmao darcy - that is a classic!!
is that sturdy enough to do inverted tricks on???
