Name the clubs you've worked at
Looking back, I have worked at a LOT of places in my 6 years of dancing. These are mine:
Sassy Merlot's, Cocoa Beach, Florida (I did my first amateur night here)
Cafe Erotica, St. Augustine, Florida (total mistake, lasted 2 days!)
Lido Cabaret, Cocoa Beach, Florida (Entertainer of the Month, April 2005)
Tootsy's, Satellite Beach, Florida (down the street from my high school!)
Inner Room, Cocoa Beach, Florida (I was Viola there!)
Bare Assets, Melbourne, Florida (kind of lame)
Cheater's, Cocoa Beach, Florida (the pole is an axle off an 18 wheeler)
Lollipop's, Daytona Beach, Florida (great themed VIP rooms)
Molly Browns I and II, Daytona Beach, Florida (loved these places)
Solid Gold, Jacksonville, Florida (so much cash there!)
Gold Club, Jacksonville, Florida (my first NICE club)
Crossroads, Jacksonville, Florida (such a hole, but great money)
Diamond Club, West Palm Beach, Florida (super nice place)
Solid Gold, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (very classy looking place, too many extras)
Mons Venus, Tampa, Florida (The owner Joe Redner is a silver fox)
So many clubs! Holy shit! It seems like more than that.
What are yours?

Re: Name the clubs you've worked at
Here's mine that I can remember after 10 years of dancing:
Spearmint Rhino, Santa Maria, California (first club I ever worked at)
Spearmint Rhino, Santa Barbara, California ( a step up from SM)
Spearmint Rhino, Oxnard, California ( only 30 minutes south of SB so had to try it)
RAW, San Luis Obispo, California ( lame bikini bar, too close to home)
Shaker's, Waverly, Nebraska ( awesome club back in the day tons of $$$ paid booking, so good in fact I ended up moving out there later, only lasted 10 months, cuz I HATED Nebraska)
Cheetah's, Lincoln, Nebraska ( owner of Shaker's topless bar)
Deja Vu, North Hollywood, California ( horrible...no need to say more)
Deja Vu, Bakersfield, California ( no need to say more )
Deja Vu Centerfolds, San Francisco, California ( won the armature contest)
Kit Kat Club, Sunnyvale, California ( best club ever in Cali $$$ was soo good during the tech boom, heard it sucks now)
Gold Club, San Francisco, California ( pretty good club but did better in Sunnyvale)
Sapphire's, Las Vegas, Nevada ( pretty good club but not my vibe)
Spearmint Rhino, Las Vegas, Nevada ( current club)
Olympic Gardens, Las Vegas, Nevada ( kind of divey but I still do well)
About 14 clubs, I want to try more but when I am doing well I don't want to explore;D

Re: Name the clubs you've worked at
Not many at all!
Barbarella's- Ottawa
Nuden- Ottawa
Pigale- Gatineau
Centerfold's- Thunder Bay
And I've been dancing for almost the exact same length of time as Cally. Clearly not as well travelled though, lol.
ETA- two of my 'reviews' are for clubs that are now closed...I just said "these clubs are closed'. So I'm not falsifying the reviews section or anything.
-
Re: Name the clubs you've worked at
Oh no. Do I have too?
These are NOT in any order. :)
Santa Fe Gold - Surfers Paradise (now closed - no longer exists)
Bad Girls - Surfers Paradise ("sister" club to SFG so I went between the two - it also no longer exists)
Players - Surfers Paradise (still around unfortunately)
The Club International - Cairns (over Easter weekend many years ago now)
Goldfingers - Melbourne (one of my preferred Melbourne clubs) ;D
Showgirls Bar 20 - Melbourne (in no hurry to work there)
Spearmint Rhino - Melbourne (one of my preferred Melbourne clubs) ;D
Hooters now called Toy Box - Surfers Paradise (did 5 shifts in total and won't return in a hurry its location and layout works against it IMO)
Hollywood Showgirls - Surfers Paradise (for the first six months or so it was open)
Crazy Horse - Surfers Paradise (for exactly one night so far.. i have a feeling this club is on its way out now with Cheerleaders open)
The Boardroom - Southport (for a couple of shifts.. best to be a showgirl there)
Honey Pot - Darwin (cut throat competative, in no hurry to return)
The nightclub that turns strip club every Wed night in Mackay (does it have a name? i only work here as part of the Mackay contract)
The Palace - Adelaide
Club 108 - Adelaide (yeah.. well.. >:( )
The Club - Mt Isa (avoid avoid avoid avoid!)
Teaze - Rockhampton
Currently Cheerleaders - Surfers Paradise
Clubs I want to give a go in the future:
Crazy Horse - Adelaide
Santa Fe Gold - Townsville
Centerfolds - Melbourne
I may even re-visit Teaze in Rockhampton since I'm still in contact with a few of my regulars from there and want to see if they have improved or at least know how to handle the dancers better. I left because after being a regular dancer there .. they should have known better than to treat me so poorly! Not to mention they became greedy with the door fees... and then business wasn't so great so the high ($500 per week) door fee wasn't justified IMO.
I've pretty much worked at least one night in every Gold Coast strip club
-

Polly Esther's (Bartender/Go-Go Dancer)

How so? We deal with management, we deal with the customers, we're working and dancing and hustling in our own ways. So we're only there for a week at the most but we're still working. The only difference is we're not sitting in the changing room with the house girls listening to the drama BS and we're not really hustling the floor as much.
I did my time as a table slave and i've done my time as a feature/showgirl... its different but not THAT different.
-
Re: Name the clubs you've worked at
I forgot Visions in New Orleans. How could I forget the West Bank Biiiitch?!?!? LOL
Cally, features basically hustle stage-only. You are paid to be there. You are THE attraction. You don't deal with mgmt and custies in the same way. You don't have to deal with shitheads asking for extra in the private danceroom for crap money. Features get special dressing rooms, scheduled stage time, and the house girls have to work around THEM. Yes, you're working, but it's different and you know it - there's a reason you choose to feature instead of work as a house girl...
I'm not saying this to be mean or whatever. Just that I think counting clubs as a feature and counting them as a house girl is quite different experience.

Bah I had a long response posted but changed my mind....
Your right Bridgette... the feature doesn't have to deal with a damn thing at the club. We just stroll in on our little cloud and enjoy the VIP princess treatment while everyone bends over and takes it up the ass for us. Your right.... we have it so easy. Its really not fair for us to say we've 'worked' at a club because really we just graced the club with our wonderful ways ::)

Come on Cally. I already said I wasn't trying to be bitchy. And I was NOT saying it the way you're taking it. Get a grip hun, all I'm saying is that feature experience is different from house girl experience. I'm not saying one is better or worse, or whatever, just different. If it were the same, you wouldn't choose one over the other. Yeesh.

Not that anyone asked me, but...... , maybe its much different being a feature in Canada than it is in the states???
Maybe you guys don't get the princess treatment up there, they way I've personally seen the features down here get. So, IMHO, its subjective, and probably varies some by region;)
