Going Back To Dancing After A Year
Hey ladies! Im a retired stripper here, thinking about going back to the club after taking a year and a half break from it. Im excited about the money and kind of being back in the club environment( you hate it when you there everyday, but when youre away you kinda start to miss it), but Im also nervous. Within the past year, I havent been as physically active as I should be and then re-learning the scene again. Anyway if you guys have any advice to help me get over these jitters, then please feel free to post them. Thanks! :-\
Re: Going Back To Dancing After A Year
Hey there! I just did the exact same thing. I was out of the business for over a year and just started back up again 2 weeks ago.
First, the downside... Going back after such a long break will be killer on your body! After my first night back I was so sore I could barely walk for two days. So if I were you, I'd go back slowly and plan to have a day or two off between work days.
Now the good news... During your break you've probably thought back on your past career as a dancer. Hopefully you've reached some conclusions and have a good idea of what you may have done wrong in the past, plus where you'd like to improve. You should be returning older and wiser, with a clearer goal of what you'd like to do with the money you make, and a more concrete idea of how to make it. This is great for you! With this knowledge at hand you should be a money making machine, much better than you were before. I know that since I've been back my nightly average is double, often triple what I used to make. The second time around is WAY better than starting off as a newb. After a day or two you will hit your stride again, and it will be like you never left.
Good luck! Don't postpone going back over jitters, it really is like riding a bike. From your pic you are in shape so don't even worry about that. Just go make your money!

^^^ I second that. You'll need a couple days off in between shifts at first for your body to repair. After a couple of weeks, you'll have your hustle and you'll start to see major changes in your legs, etc.
Don't worry about getting back into dance-shape before you start dancing again. It's not gonna happen. I've quit and gone back twice, and it SUCKS to remember how your body used to look. I stressed and worked out... and realized that nothing was going to prepare me for a 6-8 hour shift except actually going to work. The upside is.... the sooner you start working again, the sooner you'll have it all back.

I'm about to go back too. I've been off for a year. I think this time I'm going to be a lot more serious about working 5 days a week. Also, although I am quite thin its always been my fast metabolism not working out thats kept me that way. This time I'm going to treat working out as part of my job too.
