I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
I was in bed earlier with a candle burning on my bedside table and when I lent over to pick something off the floor I heard a noise like a matching lighting and my hair was on fire!!
My boyfriend luckily reacted quickly and put it out with his hand - which is now a bit sore. My hair was in a ponytail and it must have touched the flame when I bent over. The whole room lit up and he said the flame was huge.
Now my bedroom smells like burn hair but luckily not much hair was burned.
Im such an idiot.

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
Delilah's here used to have those little candles on the tables. I lost count of how many times one of the girls went up like a torch. I'm glad you're okay, though.

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
True I effin hate washing my hair and drying it >:(
My friend just opened up his own salon and I struck a deal with him that I will come in twice per week and get a wash and blow wave. It will cost me $25 a visit.
Well worth it IMO.

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
Don't worry...I've burned my hair several times at work during table dances because of the lovely candles we have. I hate the smell... :-[

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
Yeah, i've done that at work too. And my purse's handle, and almost part of one of my dresses. i'm clumsy.

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
When I heard your story, it put a smile on my face. It brought up old memories. It made me think of my sister. She use to always set herself on fire. Or have something fall on her or do something extremly clumbsy. My sister set her long beautiful hair on fire. She was praying in church and I dont know how she did it but her hair and the candle. Next thing you know her hair was on fire.
I know it was proubarly a scary experience and I am sorry this happen to you! Just so you know this has happen before and it remind me so much of my sister.

Why wasn't this mentioned to me? :O :'(
I have ass length hair that is all my hair that I don't particularly want to get burnt (or go up in flames) ... and I pretty much wear my hair out at work.. so um.. yeah... ain't that a little more than a fire hazard?

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
^^^
u will have to steer clear of them!!! I smell hair burning ALL THE TIME!!
They are along the wall where a lot of girls sit.
-
Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
You betcha I will be staying clear of them.
Um, I have to ask why the club has them if girls are always burning or singe-ing their hair on them? Isn't that more than enough reason to look into using something else?
Sleeping with a fireman has made me more paranoid about fire in a way. ;)

;D
I dont know why. I think coz it's such a dark club so at the start of the night they light hundreds of tea lights. But they are not near stages or anything, just on tables and near the wall. I always play with the wax, I have a strange addiction to touching hot wax.

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
Um, then if it is a dark club that has to do with the lighting which they can easily fix up if they wanted to spend money doing so due to the "advances" in modern lighting ;) Anyway, I'll try to avoid them as best as I can since I adore my hair :P

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
LOL this made me think of my old roommate/best friend.
She had a ne wlighter which was built like a cell phone, and the flame came out of the phone's "antenna". She held up her ear like she was talking into it and flicked it, and of course her hair ignited. Luckily she wasn't wearing hairspray that day (she usually uses a ton) or it would have been terrible.
For some reason, she thought the flame would go out, not up *rolls eyes*

Re: I set fire to my hair ahhhhh
Some fucking kid lit my hair on fire with a sparkler at Australia Day and didn't apologize. He got near the top, too, so chunks of my hair fell out. Dickhole kids.
Burning hair smells like dirty forskin.
