stripping classes?
So, I've had a really hard time getting integrated into the stripper community where I'm at. I've found the clubs here are whore houses disguised as clubs or they want really hot dancers that can do amazing pole tricks and have hair down to their hips...So, that rules me out. Anyway, I'm thinking of signing up for some stripping classes. They're kind of expensive, like 40 pounds (80 dollars) a class and am not sure if it would be worth it but at least this way I could meet someone who's trained other strippers and could give me some pointers about where to look for work. Anyone have experience with private classes? Did they do any good?

Re: stripping classes?
If you feel that taking a class would build your confidence prior to auditioning, i say go for it because confidence is what will make you money in the club.
Do keep in mind that not all teachers have been strippers, and will not be able to guide you in that direction. I am not sure how the classes are in your area. There are strip tease dvds you can order.....you can find out on here on stripperweb in the club section about good clubs in your area.
good luck

Re: stripping classes?
I have a class designed for entertainers....for FAR less than you quoted.
$159 for 4 1 hr classes...classes are based on stage performance, interaction and money making tips.

Re: stripping classes?
I learned the most just going into the club.
A class would be nice, but just working and seeing how it's really done will help you the most I think.
Even if you don't make much money the first night you'll at least get a feel for what goes on.

Re: stripping classes?
yeah, I have to admit that probably the best way to learn would be just going to the club, but here, they're looking for like top notch pole dancers and you have to look like Pamela Anderson, only younger, of course. I'm younger, but I don't look like Pamela Anderson :(
