its a real wake up call!
I love this too. So good.Quote:

Yay! Awesome thread, and I love you for it. Let's see:
Kenna - hell Bent box of Happy. box of Bliss.
Whale - Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe I can't help it. She's lolly spanking tooshies....in tin foil.
Groove Armada - Get Down Bumping bunny riots.
Vast - Pretty When You Cry
Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
Radiohead - Paranoid Android the animation is simple but allows room for interpretation
I was going to post black hole sun! Thief!
For pure entertainment and cackles... I recommend White and Nerdy by Weird Al Yankovic.
WAIT WAIT WAIT.... soad is my favorite band of all time... i've been in mourning since their little "hiatus..." on youtube i'm all of a sudden seeing "serj tankian" SOLO songs??? Has he released a solo album????
.... *chokes on food, dies and goes to heaven.*
hehe :) it was a good video, wasn't it. I had to go find a link to watch it again, it's been a while.
Soundgarden - Black Hole sun
Ooh, and some more:
Juno Reactor - God Is god the imagery, the quirky delivery
Fluke - Atom Bomb
Yes Serj does have a solo album. I believe SOD has broken-up for the time being.
yep he does have a solo and i downloaded it tonight its actually not to bad!
Like the thread def.
My favorite video. Is telling beyond words.
A 10, by all measures.
^The "November Rain" video always made me go "Huh?" Did she die because it started raining? Did I miss something?
Embyr, Serj's album doesn't come out til October 23rd officially. You can find some songs online, though. From what I've heard SOAD are on "indefinite hiatus".
The video for "Been Caught Stealing" always amused me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc53eG1Gbv0
Here's three that make me want to cry. :'(
Martina McBride- Concrete Angel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCgW17wU5ws
Yeah it's country but it's a beautiful song. It's about child abuse and it actually DID make me cry when I first saw it.
Silverchair- Ana's Song (Open Fire)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdF98W-ON3Q
About Anorexia. Side note- now that he's older and recovered he looks WAY different. Amazing lyrics and the video just makes it even better.
Evanescence- Everybody's Fool
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u55fpsbzAfk
All of their videos are good but this one probably holds the most meaning for me. Going Under and Call Me When You're Sober are also really well made videos IMO.
Ben Harper - She's Only Happy in the Sun
Massive Attack - Live With Me (It's weird how much this girl and I look alike...)
Butch Walker - Mixtape
I love the power of imagery, it fascinates me too.
Herbie Hancock - Rockit robot mannequins, now I want A Christmas Story leg lamp
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight Tonight Victorian elegance of departure, journey, and arrival.
Nine Inch Nails - closer Sepia tones beautify animalistic desires.
Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug Again the usage of color, icy blues, sudden impact of kryptonite green
Busta Rhymes - Gimme Some More Tiny Toons meets a fisheye camera lens
Green Jelly - Three Little Pigs claymation rocks
Concrete Angel always makes me cry when I hear it on the radio. And the first time I saw the video, I was a mess.
Carrie Underwood-Before he cheats
Beyonce & Shakira-Beautiful Liar Not really a fan of this song, but I love this video.
One Republic-Apologize
Nickelback-Savin Me
Important- Is this a spam post on YouTube? It says September is the month YouTube will start deleteing videos with copyright material.
My favorite video-
Shakira's "Suerte" (No YouTube linky, not co-operating!!!!)
A beautiful representation of what it feels like to be in love. (There's an English language version too.)
As for Guns N Roses' "November Rain"- it is set up to maybe be a nightmare, or not. It's about damaged people trying to fix each other in relationships and the resultant failures (yes, she shot herself in the head, if you look at the casket closely, there's a steel plate over half of her face...It seems like a touch meant to augment the "nightmare" part of it.)
You are one cold piece o' work, Ms. Hexx... 8)
My Faves, Part II
Joe Jackson nailed my young adult relationships with this song. No special effects required...
My wife's still waiting for me to "grow up"...It ain't happenin'! }:D
P.S. Look for cameo appearances by FBR's avatar at 1:56 & 2:02 :)
When this video 1st hit MTV, my little brother pointed out Eddie Van Halen's "village idiot grin" & I was hooked. That band truly enjoyed their work!
A silly, good-natured departure from the norm. This will always remind me of my sons, even decades from now... :D
Kewl thread...
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer -> http://youtube.com/watch?v=hqyc37aOqT0
Blondie - Rapture http://youtube.com/watch?v=xHPikUPlRD8 - Actually this video is soo lame that its almost charming. PLus Deborah Harry even tries to like dance which is actually very scary ... Aah 1981 - simpler times lol
