I almost understand the concept of lapdancing...........Except for one lil' "BIG" thing...........When is the money supposed to be exchanged? Is he supposed to hand the cash over before I dance or do I wait until after the dance to get the cash?

Unless it's a seasoned and respectable regular, I ALWAYS get the money up front. Discreetly make sure it's the proper amount too. In a dark club a 10, 20, or 50 dollar bill can be mistaken for each other. Nothin burns more than when that happens. Except maybe when a customer swears he will go to ATM to pay you post dance... and never returns.
Get it up front. I just smile sweetly after he has a seat and say (while still standing) "OK! That's just $20, hun." Then wait, expectantly. If he complains about paying up front, I'd worry he probably doesn't have it.
... I think it depends on how your club works. In my club, money is almost ALWAYS exchanged afterwards, and there are a LOT of atm/credit card transactions... but this is because the dance price is 50, and it's pretty rare for a guy to only get 1 dance at a time, from anyone. The goal is multiple dances, and deciding on a set amount of dances (or even worse, limiting it to one!!!!) at the beginning can kill a possible 3-400 bucks. Most guys that come in, even if they haven't danced with a particular girl before, are not new to the club, and know how things work. If they ArE new to the club, it is very important to state the dance price up front, and state "per song." The dancer is only in the wrong if she failed to state the price up front (or knowingly overcharged for dances, etc.)
until you get the swing of your club, get the money up front...nothing sucks more than dancing and spending time pretending to like a guy then getting shafted by him...
back in the day bouncers would really help girls get paid from losers like that. These days it really depends. Seems more guys these days seem to want to "act dumb" like they are shocked you want money! Or they know that legally the money we get for dances are tips so they feel like they don't have to pay...HUH?!?!?
