Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
Iv been dancing for three years now. I love nothing more than coming home with a bundle of cash that I've worked a) real hard and b) real clever for.
I see nothing wrong in a guy paying for my time and unlimited dances, and whilst I used to get sit downs a hell of alot, now I'v moved to a new club I don't really get them. But I don't mind as I tend to focus more on singular dances or blocks of 5 or so dances and still make far too much money for my age!! ;D
Last night....I came across this feeling I've never had before.
Custy #1 - it was his leaving bash, leaving the scaffolding company to start his own business in very upmarket private taxi hire. He was relatively sober. Custy #2 his boss, paid me and 3 other girls for a 2 hour sit down - which works out in USD around $400 a girl. Then after the two hours of chat, bottles of champagne and dances custy#2 the boss, leaves without telling any of the guys. Im left with the guy whos leaving, who was initially my custy. He is such an adorable guy, no bad work to say, simple yet content with life, and nervous about the coming months ahead with little or no income while he sets up his business.
What happens next aye?
We go for a few dances, girls spot his drunkness and manage to get him to pay for the rest of the night with a nice large tip on the top!! works out (in your currency) $1000 a girl which included the tip. He kept saying, I'm so tired, I'm so tired, yes heres the card, yes more drinks, yes a magnums fine, but I'm so tired. it worked out like over £2000 went through on his card - thats like $4000!!! then again within 10 minutes they tried taking another $200 each off of him, as if the first wasn't enough. Luckily his more sober mate saw what was going on, went mental and made the club refund the last transaction of £1080 = $2160 back onto his card....then they wandered off to reception with the manager who obviously asked questions of how this supposed $4000 worht of tips come about when the guy was so hammered drunk!!
Obviously I never said no at any point when funny money was being handed over. In fact I was totting it up in my head how much I'll take home including the cash that was in my purse and I got dead excited. But when the transactions were going through and this poor man was signing on the line to say he knew the amounts were high, and all he kept saying was, but I'm really tired. Never a bad word....I now feel....guilty! Yup, I feel bad as hell for sitting there letting this happen to this guy, who is starting a business....was the nicest guy I have ever ever met in a SC and we rinsed him. DRY!!
I'm very confused about these feelings....normally I use my xrays to try and look into guys wallets even before I approach them....but I kinda feel bad for having done so well out of this guy who quite frankly didn't even know he was spending and no doubt woke up this morning with a massive shock. My bf keeps saying the guy is a grown man etc etc...but we all know how convincing a pretty little big boobed gang of strippers can be on an intoxicated male!! ::)
Is this a form of stripper style stockholm syndrome d'ya think?
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
I think it's dumb. People in many jobs expect to get paid as much as they can but you don't want that. Perhaps you should go into charity work.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
the problem is that if the guy feels used, he might not spend money in a club again. worse still, he might become one of those douchebags who comes to the club and treats girls like shit.
some guys want to spend, but need a nudge. they get a kick out of it and will come back for more.
others feel taken advantage of and used. and they have been. it may be good for a night, for the girls who make that money that night. but in the long run, it hurts our industry.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
I wouldn't feel bad about it. He came to the club to spend $$. Should I feel guilty every time I give a guy a LD? I'm selling the idea of sex, not the actual thing even though some guys think that they might get the actual thing. I don't feel bad at all.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
Please - no one twists these guys arms to come in any strip club.
If they can repeat I'm tired, over and over again they can also say no.
I'm there to entertain and make money, not be some guys babysitter..
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
I think you're sweet for thinking this way. I don't see why so many girls had to take advantage. When people get overly greedy they do burn customers. That works in salesmanship in every line of work. But anyway, you shouldn't feel bad. I would have taken the funny money too because he was freely offering it.

I gotta disagree. I don't see it as sweet because you're being played. These guys will feel taken advantage of whenever they don't want to take responsibility for their actions. There's guys on this board who feel taken advantage of if you don't do extras or date them! They've gotten in your head and have you believing their BS. You shouldn't. You deserve every penny he's handed you and so do the other girls.

True. He was a grown man, he could have said no.
Ok moral issue gone...if I hadn't have taken that money from him..someone else would have. And its better in my pocket than another dancers from my point of view.
Cool!
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
Just hope he doesn't call the credit card company to dispute the charges and tell them he was too drunk to know what was going on/what he was signing.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
Yep. I'm all for the hustle, but I have my limits.

:O..............
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
Whatever. You didnt pour booze down his throat or slip him a Mickey...you didnt steal...you put in the time and he gave willingly. Done.
I think I'll try this little trick everywhere. I"ll go into Bloomingdales on a shopping spree, then claim I was drunk and they took advantage of me so I dont have to pay. I'll get free clothes, groceries, diamonds...woo hoo!!
My point is that this wouldnt work anywhere else...why the hell should it work here?? Oh right...because strippers are lying thieving whores who dont deserve the money we make.
Screw him. Just the anxiety he has caused you by making you feel guilty makes you more than deserving of the money you got.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
if you really feel bad then don't do it. The other people will continue to do it though and you will see it and know about it. If something makes me feel bad or guilty, then i don't do it, simple as that.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
^Exactly what I was thinking. Yah, I'd feel bad for how the guy would feel in the morning, but oh well, shit happens.
If I went out one night, boozed it up at bar and ran up a 2 grand tab, yah I'd be butt hurt in the morning, but then I'd just have to come on SW and post about how stupid I was to let myself drunk spend!
I kind of sucks that a big group of girls were pushing himto spend more and more, but what's the difference between a big group of girls and one girl asking him to "stay and spend more time with me!" *bat bat of the eyes*. No diff.
In our club a guy has to sign three different sheets saying he understands how much he is spending, drunk or not, so there's no way someone could say "I wasn't in control and no one told me what I was doing" but we've had plenty of guys try....
Drink less next time. (not you, the guy)
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
That falls under the category of taking advantage. It's a fine line, IMO, and if you are feeling guilty then maybe you shouldn't go so far next time.
I understand that many many girls will push a guy to his limit and then some. But I've never been one to push a guy toward the ATM or to open a CC tab. If someone is drunk and wants to throw money my way, that's fine, but I'm not going to pressure anyone into anything.
That's not to say I judge any girl for doing what she has to do to make a living. To each her own, and we all have different limits when it comes to these things.

I love British wit! ;D
There have been several incidents of legit chargebacks at clubs in the U.S.....IMO dancers should not hard-hustle someone who is blotto drunk. If clubs put an eye towards liability issues, they'd eject customers who get so drunk they don't realize what they're doing. (I have seen it happen in my career, so sometimes clubs are conscientious.)
According to the "Independent Contractor" clause most dancers work under, you are free to make decisions about who you sell your services to...Including the "Right To Refuse" service. (It's a pity the clubs crack down on dancers for their business discretion, though. The sex biz is very backwards in that regard.)

i agree with andy on this one. a bit over the top for my taste.
Re: Moral issues?!?!?! Warning..long
I've seen girls convince guys to do XTC or coke and literally get thousands upon thousands. I've seen MGMT call a credit card company whilte a pratically passed out customer layed there and mumbled his social and info so the card could get processed. lifted his limp hand and put the ink on his thumb and rolled it on the money certificate. (you need credit card, form of ID, and a thumb print to do CR's at this one club)
The above I believe is morally wrong, and I was younger and these shark ass women (and the one manager) were behind these acts but-- i've seen men literally jump and RUN from a CR once they see how much it will cost. drunk, tired, whatever, they will say uhhh no thanks.
Ok point being, if a man is awake, is not mentally retarded and has money, no, I don't see any moral thing wrong with taking what they are giving. Like Optimist said, they know what they are getting into once they walk thru those doors.
