Default Its my cat in a Cone!

Little Nina ripped off her stitches from the spaying yesterday. I had to go back this morning and have her belly stapled and antibiotics.

They also gave me one of those cones to put around her neck to keep her from tearing out the stitches again.

And she can't play with her brother, so sad. But so cute! He's doing fine sans harbl.

LOL what is that last pic? Is that a kitty binghole? or the stitches?

The cone is cute, poor kitty. If any of my babies had to wear a cone, all the other kitties would beat them up for being a nerd.

My cat had the same problem but wouldn't tolerate the cone so the vet suggested a tiny baby's t-shirt. Just a suggestion if your cat decides to freak out on the cone. I got the tiniest newborn tank top and still had to tie the sleeves at the top to make it fit! It worked well and she could curl up and sleep easily.

The last kitty I was with had to have an extra large cone, she was so adept at getting around the first one. The poor thing, her head would bob in the most ridiculous manner from the weight of it when she walked.

my dog had to have one like that, a doberman sized cone for a Maltese, literally. It was so funny.

They do have foam collars now that sort of look like a whiplash collar that I found worked better for her. It was more comfy and she can't get to her tail.

    Well, Kat...

We're waiting. Quit playing hard to get. What, do you want us to beg? Do you have me mixed up with some sort of pussy?

Awwww! Your kitty looks so fuzzy and sweet! You did the right thing - kitties are much more manageable sans harbl.

This reminds me of when I got Siren spayed (gosh, about 7 years ago!) and she had to wear one of those cone thingys. To me, it looked like a lampshade. I woke up to her one day with the cone collar OFF! She got out of it and ripped out two of her stitches while I slept. But she was pretty much healed anyway.

SexKitten, Austinatalie, I am starting to think the lemur is saying "Guess what I'm talking about?" Haha...

OK, I have to ask...how does harbl mean testicles? I dont understand how this internet language is made!!

And I would think the lemur is saying "talk to the hand" by its stance!!

He's saying "thank you, now fuck off" in russian.

Kitten couldn't deal with the cone, she looked so sad. Then she threw up her antibiotics into it. She's doing well now.

The photo of the pink "spot" is her scar. She is very happy here and has been cuddling up with the SW gals all weekend.
