    Pole for low ceiling?

I live in a basement room now, and my ceiling is 8 feet tall. There are taller ceilings in more public areas of my house, but I want to get a pole that I can put in my room so I have some privacy. Is it even worth it to get such a short pole? Can you still learn on that?

Any tips for a pole to buy for a short ceiling?

    Gracias.

Most poles for home are about 8 feet. You can do a lot more on them then you think

Sorry I got that wrong. It's 7'. Any suggestions for 7' poles?

You can get poles that will fit it the only thing is that it will only be about 7 foot. Good luck.

I don't have any specific suggestions but you can still do a lot on short poles.

I want one so bad, but I'm moving soon and I don't think it's worth it to set it up just to take it down, plus the ceiling heights will probably be different and I don't know if it would fit both. So I'm waiting.

OK, Lil' Mynx makes them for less than 8' adjustable up to 2' beyond that...I'm off to do a search about those. I want to order it tonight!

I got spoiled rotten on an 8 foot pole. That's the only drawback I can see to a 7 footer, as well.

I have the same height on my short ceiling and my lil minx works just fine. It's true I can't climb high or do the more acrobatic stuff that takes more vertical space, but I can still do all the spins and get a work out just the same.

There are pics on my myspace.

Arrow Re: Pole for low ceiling?

sun child, I have an x-pole and it is seriously versatile.

OK, I'm going to be biased for a minute:
It is removable and so comes in multiple pieces allowing you to adjust for a shorter floor-to-ceiling length, as well as for a taller floor-to-ceiling length.

Mine is almost 10" tall, so I had to get an extension but it comes in 4 pieces adjustable from 7'4" to 9', so you would only have to get the set, no extension.
If/when you move, if your ceilings are higher, you could add an extension if higher than 9' and keep the same pole, but they are pricer.

sun child, there are a few girls on here who sell a variety of poles in different materials and very reasonably priced.
Too bad I didn't wait a little longer to buy mine, I might have been able to buy from one of the girls. I got mine before they were so readily available here in the States from the UK-

As you might imagine, shipping-wise, NOT pretty, LoL.

sun child, x-pole I inputed your ceiling height, 7'/84", into their online height calculator and it calculated that 1 set would fit your needs.

You would just need to leave out either Part A or Part B which are the main pole, but as you stated, you don't need all that length.

Ok...I was under the understanding that your ceiling was lower than 7".

If Xpole will fit...so will the PS..as they are almost the same, as far as it goes for height and extension pieces.

In my videos...earlier ones...you see my pole! The ceiling height in that area was 7'6", and I still needed thread space. I have checked with a student of mine who has a much lower ceiling height...and she has used her extension (that come with the kit) to shorten the pole to 7' even!

    Hope this helps!

Well, I just ordered a Lil' Mynx! Yay! It will fit in my short ceiling and is also adjustable up to 8'10'', so when I move to another apartment or house I can use it there, too. I'm sooo excited!!!
