    Default OMFG pumpkin ice cream

I am fucking loving Dreyer's Slow-Churned seasonal line of apple pie, pumpkin, and peppermint ice cream. Pumpkin is my absolute favorite and I am seriously tempted to hoard for after the season. I love how it's sweet and spicy at the same time. It's really good with a little bit of hot caramel sauce. The peppermint ice cream is excellent with my grandma's homemade hot fudge sauce (sweetened condensed milk is the secret ingredient!).

Pumpkin ice cream is GOOD! If you live next to a Trader Joes, I suggest trying theirs, too.

^Bleach, Cold Stone tastes like toothpaste. Marble Slab and Dreyer's make good pumpkin.

I loved the one I tried at Brewsters last year, ugh, why'd they have to close? DQ never has anything like that. I've tried apple pie flavor from the supermarket, but I'm not sure what brand it was.

A bunch of people in my studio at school decided we are going to have "Pumpkin day." This stemmed from a lengthy conversation about our love of the Fall season. So, here is the agenda for the day:

    -Pumpkin Latte (campus bookstore)
    -Pumpkin pancakes (IHOP)
-Pumpkin ice cream (local ice cream shop)
    -Pumpkin Pie (home made)
    -Pumpkin Ale (Saranac)

It may sound extreme... but we live in a part of the US that has an amazing Fall season, so for us its not that crazy!!

I just picked this up at the grocery store (it's called Edy's here instead of Dreyer's) and it is delicious! It's gonna take some serious willpower to stop myself from eating the entire carton today. LOL

Ooh, I didn't know Trader Joe's had pumpkin ice cream. Yumm! I'll have to make a quick stop over there later.

Btw, the Trader Joe's seasonal pumpkin pie is to die for!

Today I picked up Apple Pie, Peppermint, and Root Beer Float ice cream, along with another Pumpkin. They're limited edition and they were all on sale, so I figured why not. I probably looked like a pig buying 4 half gallons of ice cream at once, but hey, I don't care. Now I'll be stocked up on ice cream for a few months. The pumpkin ice cream is heavenly with Cool Whip on it.

Plus I'm pretty good about not eating too much ice cream when it's in the house. It's the chips and salsa that I have to worry about. Plus all the seasonal Edy's/Dreyer's slow-churned ice creams are not as bad for you as most flavors of ice cream. All the kinds I bought have 100-120 calories per half cup, except for the Root Beer Float, which has 140 (still not too bad).

First off, hear you on the chips and salsa thing. Damn yummy crispy spicy thigh-expanders.

Second, the seasonal flavors are freaking amazing. I just bought the limited edition girlscout flavors and I'm hunting my local grocery stores for the slow-churn pumpkin. Last time, they only got in the full-fat kind. Ew.
