That's good that your father is being so supportive.
That's good that your father is being so supportive.
That's great! No one needs the stress of trying hiding your job.
Congrats on building a relationship with your dad. Building a relationship as an adult with a parent can make it difficult to open up, but close family ties can be worth a little work.

Yayy! I can only cross my fingers it will go similar for me one day.
What a great dad! That's awesome, Callyish.
That's awesome Cally, I am so beyond happy for you!! And I think it's very smart to be wary, but open to letting this be real and forward movement/progress within your family. Having open communication and strong relationships with family is really important. This could be way way awesome!! And A+ for having the balls to tell him the truth. I could never do that!!

Cally, that's absolutely awesome. good for you- i know the context must cause mixed feelings, but at least he's willing to progress & accept you!!!
Nothing beats having understanding parents. I love mine soooooo much... I yap with them on the phone in the dressing room when it's slow. Talk about accepting!
So awesome! Hehe it totally does make sense in the context of 'finding god' and being a changed man....it sounds like he's changed a lot of his inner philosophies or whatever, to be more understanding and accepting. Must feel so much better for you! That's way cute he's fixing yr suitcase...
It's good he approves, but also good he doesn't approve too much. I was once in a stripper clothes store and a dad was helping his daughter pick out dancer clothes - she was modeling them for him. My soul puked.
you are sooo right...at some point it goes past a point that is very unhealthy and scary but I don't think there are many situations like that....besides there would have to be something wrong with the both the dad and the daughter to let that go on....that's such a sad sick story
^^^ wow that's a whole different level of creepy. It's one thing to have supportive parents and something else entirely to have parents who are saying "show your body for money to me." it's like doing a chore and getting allowance. yuck.
I am so envious!!! I was talking to my mom a few days ago and she said something along the lines of "hell, dancers make damn good money" and I couldn't bring myself to tell her. I'm such a pansy. Good for you, lovely!

Cally...awesome to hear!
I am glad you decided to come clean! See...if you act like an adult...us parents tend to start treating you like one!
You DO have you shit together....except for a few minor setbacks....and how you present yourself speaks volumes!!!
I am glad he is being supportive!

Love it!
Holy shit that's creepy! Ew ew ew ew.There was a girl whose dad would come into the club, tip her, and even buy lapdances from her
I had a dream I told my parents I was cocktailing in a strip club, because that's what I've been planning on telling them. But in my dream they decided to pop in to say hi and of course I was on stage dancing. It was a very bad dream.![]()
But I'm glad your dad is being supportive Cally.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily
