Just got back from the periodontist... got a breakdown of all the work to be done... and the price breakdown![]()
For sure 6 teeth being removed (maybe 8 ) Periodontist wants to save the other 2, general dentist isnt sure - this break down if I need all 8 removed. Along with 2 years of braces.
Im seriously debating on the jaw surgery. I dont HAVE to have it and CAN have nice looking teeth without it. If I want *perfect* teeth Id need it.
To anyone putting off dental work - please go do it now before it ends up like this. He told me if I had done this just 2 years before most of this wouldnt have been needed but the roots are gone and the teeth are nonrestorable.
Root Planing: $868 (already done)
Removal: $2160
Bone Grafts: $1107 (supposed to be $2952 but they gave a discount)
Flipper: For between removal and implants, 2 years $235 (disc from $500)
Braces: $6,000 (2 years)
Implant Placement: $9,600
Implant Crowns: $13,000
So, all in all without surgery its almost $32,000
Plus I need cleanings every 3 months.
I now have a really good reason to kick some ass in VEGAS next month!![]()
The Implants/Crowns arent for another 2 years (until I get the braces off) and the braces Im doing a payment plan...
But to get to the point of braces its $5625 (inc down payment of braces) + $185/mo for 2 years.
That gives me time to save the money for the implants/crowns (save $1000 a month for 2 years and Ill have cash for it) BUT I can probably get some good discounts when I actually go to get it done. Well see...
Kinda scary but not really... I really wish I had done this earlier.
PLEASE SEE THE DENTIST. I know girls on here have mentioned being scared off by the dentist or the bills or having cavities filled. You dont have those cavities filled now youll need removal and replacement. What a mess.
Im super excited to be having it done and have a plan (for work AND payment) but I really really wish I hadnt put it off.
PLEASE SEE A DENTIST. A few thousand now is better than $30,000 later...

Oh thank you so much. That helps to relieve the anxiety a little bit (not much, but a little
) Fortunately my dental insurance does cover periodontal work, so the cost shouldn't kill me. Odd though it sounds, I have an extremely high pain tolerance as well....for anything EXCEPT dental work. Probably relates to some childhood trauma. Really though, thanks for sharing that info with me...I really appreciate it.
