    Angry funny money fees

Nowadays it seems that we are getting charged a fee to turn in "credit card" money. Some clubs worse than others. I refuse to work for a club that decides to pay you in a check 2-3 weeks later. I'd be concerned that I wouldn't get paid. I don't trust these people. I feel that we already pay enough in house and per dance fees. Any clubs not charging funny money fees?

Not sure how this would, if it could, apply to dancers.....

My current club is one of the only ones that I"ve ever worked at that ddint charge you for cashing in funny money. Usually it wasa 10% charge to cash it in. But you got it that night. My current club only gives you $500 a ta time...so if you get more you get it the next day or the next few days depending on how much they owe you because of chargebacks.
But I"ve never had a problem collecting. Just a pain to come in day after day to get it. BU tbetter then not making it and at least my club is only 15 minutes away.

My club charges 10% of the amount of the funny money AND you have to tip the champagne host 10% of your earnings. So our Champagne room rates run $300 an hour for the dancer so after 10% to the host -$30, then another 10% to the funny money tax $30, I'm left with $240 for the hour. I guess that's not that bad but damn!

my club charges the customer 10% to get the money, and then charges us 10% to turn it into cash, and 1099s you if it works out that they paid you anything more than $600 more than you paid them in housefees. (so if you paid 500 in housefees over the year, and you turned in more than 1100 in funny money, they would 1099 you)

So confusing and annoying, but at least we get to change it in immediately!

What kills me about funny money is that we still have to pay a tithe after champagne rooms. Some clubs I've worked at - won't mention the current one (don't bite the hand that feeds you ) will charge the customer $1500 for the hour. Your cut in this deal? Drumroll please...

    $400

    ...in funny money.

..as in - you now still owe them $40.

UM... WHAT?!?! Wait lemme do the math:
    $1500 - $400 - $40 = carry the 2... ah yes! They are pimping your ass.

I mean come on - what is going on here?

Seriously, this drives me insane. I feel like I'm being pimped! This brings me back to why I prefer doing strings of dances as opposed to CRs. At least they're not making money way over and above what they should on my sweat and tears! In fact, in clubs where CRs are the focus I do my best to sell non CR dances as much as possible. Just thinking of it makes my blood boil. I mean if a guy's gonna spend that much money to spend time with me, I'd much rather just cut a deal and tell him to give me a grand and I'll sit with him for 2 (2!) hours! Jeez. (I've never done this obviously but I'd like to.)

$1500 and you get $400?!?!?! Thats crazy

Our club does not take a cut of the funny money from us. They charge the guys extra.

OK, if a guy buys an hr CR its $550 cash or $615 credit. We get $400. They dont charge us again from that just because he paid credit. Nor do we get funny money. We get a pink slip that we can cash out or the host will cash it and give it to you at the end of the night. Ive only gotten funny money once - last weekend and he just gave it to me because he was in LOVE. Silly boys.

We also take out 13% out of the funny money when it's turned into the club for a check, but you can get your money THAT NIGHT (depending on what time you turn in the money, of course) or at the latest, the next day.

You do not have to give out ANY of your earnings to hosts/management. There is some sort of $20 per room fee or something- but when you are making $500-$600 an hour, who cares.
