    Default How Long?

How long did it take you all to get the hang of dancing? I mean stage an hustleing the whole deal. Tonight is my 5th shift and I am still trying to get into the swing of things. I am seriosuly boring on stage, mosly caue I am afraid of falling down in my shoes...lol. I know I could do better sellign dances too. Also would it be workwhile for me as a newbie to read through Dancer Wealth? I had it given to me two years ago when I first thought about dancing. Anyway sorry for the kind of rambling post.

A couple months after I started was when I began to feel like I was actually absorbed into the routine.

Good luck! About stage... maybe just do a lot of floorwork? Wink and smile a lot too.

K, well 5 nights is not it. It takes longer than that for sure!

But it's different for everyone. I'd say, try to relax on stage a bit, lots of smiling and stick to the floor for a little while until you feel brave enough to get up and try some moves that way.

Selling dances, shoot, just go for it. Sit for a song, chat a lil bit, and then ask if he's ready to have some fun, if he's ready to play, etc. Just don't be afraid to ask, the worst he can do is say "No." Then you move on.

But definiatly cut yourself some slack, 5 nights isn't long enough to *get the hang of it* IMO.

I've been at it many many years, and even still I get surprised some nights and learn new things.

I'm a little slow so even with reading this website and taking dancer wealth everything didn't click for me until after 6 months. Even now I have my nights where I am "on" and nights where I suck and I've been at this for 2 years! Be patient, watch other girls alot, and read this site religiously and it will come!

Thanks girls. I feel better now knowing it might take a while. Maybe I should just work the newbie angle for as long as possible..lol

I've been dancing a little over a month and I've only just recently began trying to learn some simple little tricks, like spinning sexily around the pole and putting my back against it and sliding down to the ground. I can climb the pole, but I have no strength and just cling to it like a koala bear once I'm up there lol (no not while I'm in front of custies!)
