Default When a custie offers to buy you a drink, how much...

....time should you spend before you start asking for dances? (I tried looking this up and got info that didn't really answer my question).

Should it make a difference? Should you ask right away and if he says 'no' , just take your drink, thank him and run?

Or should you spend a little more time with him because he has invested a little money with you? (Meaning the drink).

I'm sure this has been covered before, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

that depends on if you need to sell drinks, if you make money off the drink, stuff like that. if you're making money off it or have to sell them, yeah, sit for a song or two before you ask for a dance. there are probably a lot of girls who won't agree with that, its just my opinion.

you could also tell him that you'd love a drink, but something about how they're overpriced and wouldn't he rather spend his money on some dances with you? unless you actually WANT the drink. in which case you can't complain about spending some time with him.

if you're getting nothing out of the drink, you can say "lets go dance after our drinks gere here!" or after you sit for half a song and sip on it try to sell it.

oh, and it also makes a difference how long you were sitting there before the drink came up. and whether it's the weekend or a weeknight, etc.

Sometimes I say, "sure, I'd love a drink... or we could skip the drink and go straight to the dance" like it's really naughty and exciting, like skipping the date and going right to fucking.

But it depends on how they offer the drink. If they act like they are creating an experience, as if now that you're here they're planning on having a seven course meal with fine wine before they attempt to romance you, I take it as an indication that they're planning on spending some time in the CR and I give it a few songs. If they just want a pretty lady to drink with them I absolutely will take the drink, ask for the dance, and move on.

Sometimes custies who offer to buy me a drink turn out to be very good spenders so I will talk to the custie for a little bit but a good way to do it is get the drink and go for the dance. I always say we can take the drinks with us. I find that most guys like to have their drinks with them during the dance, even tho they put them down but they might like to keep drinking during the dance.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I also have had a custy ask me when I was on stage. I thought it was odd, but I asked for a bottled water. When I came back for my third song, there it was (unopened), sitting on the tip rail. I thanked him, and continued my dance. When I got off, as I picked up my water I said, okay, let's go! And he just followed me into VIP. I think it's also good personality, and you have to know, I'm the joking not so serious stripper. So I"m not all sex'd up. So if I asked a guy and he said no, I say, "Well, I do need to be fair here and ask every one in here. But I'll be around in a bit, are you staying? (yes) Good, I'll be back in a bit to chat!" Then when I've sold a few dances, I go back and try again, chat, then leave.
Does that make sense? Sorry I rambled!!

I take the drink, wether I want it or not, it's $$ for the club, (you can always dumb it in a bathroom) and wait about two songs, a little less, then ask to have a little fun.

If they say "no", I either coax them more, or say "aw bummer, well I would love to sit and chat with you but I have to make $$" or

however you want to say it, we are all different. But if you do it in a "bummer" way, you very well may be the only girl who was nice to them, and they may grab your arm an hour later.

Thanks! All of your responses are very helpful.

I don't have a CR where I work, only laps, so I can't really sell upward.

I think I was feeling sort of obligated to hang out longer since they made an initial investment (the drink).

HandK, you're right, it does help out the bar. I wasn't even thinking about them. Good thinking on your part.
