    Default Meditation?

    Who here meditates?

I've been thinking about getting in the habit...every morning I wake up, or right before I go to bed, light up a candle, put on the right music, and meditate on the day, my goals, and stuff like that. I've never really done it fully...
And then I was thinking about maybe incorporating stones/crystals. And maybe even putting on incense. Are certain types of incense suppossed to mean certain things...just like certain stones are suppossed to have certain "powers?" Any good websites on this kind of stuff?
Does this work for some? I do believe in the power of thought...Any personal stories? I think this would be a good way to tap into my spiritual side...and was curious what other people's practices are.
    Thanks for your input!

Meditation is good. Taking some time out to calm your thoughts, and become more aware of your own mind is as good for you as is exercises that do the same for your body. I don't know about crystals having any magic powers, although if you feel they soothe you or provide something to focus on then it can't hurt either.

I meditate with just myself. you don't need a ton of stuff, like candles, music, insence, or what not, but it won't hurt as well.

I light a candle and meditate every night before bed. It helps with the development of my intuition.

This is actually something I need to get back into the habit of.

I'm interested in meditation too, mostly as a way to learn focus and not to worry. Someone recently gave me this website which I thought was good. . I don't think spirituality should cost much money. I like rocks but I don't think they have special powers. I just think they look like little natural works of art sometimes. Anyway....this is reminding me to follow up on meditation. Thanks, and I hope it goes well for you.

My meditation is simple. I just focus on diaphragmic breathing and melt into it. It's how I fall asleep actually.

I have an altar with rocks, crystals, etc. But it has nothing to do with my meditation.
