    Default So here's my plan:

STEP 1: I scheduled a consultation to get breast implants. I'm not going to go crazy, I think small boobs are cute (and my hubby loves them) THE PROBLEM IS: that mine are sooo assymetrical, one is probably an A, the other one is a nipple. I just want some volume and symetry.
STEP 2: I'll go to the Men's Club in Charlotte, it's an upscale club (kinda). I don't know if they would hhire me based only on my looks, because I have ZERO experience, that's why I think the boobs will help.
STEP 3: Learn, learn, learn, make some $$$$, pay off our debt.
STEP 4: Go back to being a mom/wife

    Any suggestions??

Well... I think you may get a major confidence boost from a pair of bewbies. But keep in mind, dancing is addictive. While you can pay off some hefty debts in a minimal amount of time, you may get used to earning large sums of money every night. Hence the difficulty in giving t up.

How does your husband feel about your plan? Is he supportive in your quest to become a stripper? If he's not, then I don't think that it is really worth the trouble. Relationships have succumbed to lesser things....

Well, if you were already a dancer then boobs might be a wise investment, but if you have a child and you aren't yet a dancer, why not get a different job?

Earning potential? You could make good money as a waitress, or get into other types of sales like becoming a real estate agent.

This is why I say this: a strip club is not a healthy place to be. Alcohol, smoke, shady people, drugs, prostitution... It sounds like you want to start dancing to justify your breast augmentation. If you really want to fix your boobs, would you be motivated if you set a personal goal and saved up for the augmentation instead of going into more debt?

Not to sound mean, but if you do steps 1, 2 and 3, I can guarantee you will NOT do step 4. I just know from experience this plan is NOT going to work.

Not a good reason, do you mean the boobs or the debt? I understand that the boobs are not a necesity, but the debt is like this big cloud that is hanging over our heads. (And I have to clarify that most of the debt is just "life", we don't drive the latest cars, or spend money on things that we don't need, but when you have a family things like daycare, soccer lessons, a family emergency, etc. and before you know it you are living in the negative). Not to mention that hubby works on straight commission and this has been a miserable year. He has a great job, but the economy is not the best right now, it's been rough.
what do you think is a good reason to start dancing? I think most of the time it's out of necesity, and a small number do it just because they love it. Or they start so they can pay some bills and end up loving it. Why did you do it?

I wish I could do without the implants, but it would just be funny

i think dancing out of the need for money is fine. i mean fuck, it's why -i- do it. i dance to pay my bills and go to school.

just, don't think of it as EASY money. that's where i think a lot of new girls go wrong. it's a tough job and it can wear on you in a lot of ways, esp. in some locations. also, don't think you're going to walk into a club and start banking. while it -could- happen, it isn't typical.

so, to put it another way....

there are a lot of guys who think "fuck, if i was a girl, -i- would do this. i mean, you just walk around and shake your ass and make a grand a night"

and there are a lot of girls who have that very same opinion before they try it for themselves.

if you have that opinion (and im not saying you do) you should probably do more research before you try it out.

Yea but the better option would be to not cause MORE debt to get rid of CURRENT debt.

You want to strip to pay debt - great. Do it, pay the debt. After debt it paid dance - make boob money and pay cash for the boob job.

It makes ZERO sense to make more debt to get rid of debt AND what if you dont like dancing? Its not as easy at swinging on a pole and getting hundreds of dollars. Its really hard work.... so what if you dont like it? Now you have MORE debt that will be harder to pay off.

To me - makes no sense.

EDIT: We must have been writing at the exact same time ^^^^

I think you should just try to get the job first and see how you make out $ wise. IMO, the majority of dancers start out un-augmented and frankly you'd be surprised how well you can do without the boob job. It's also possible that your asymmetry is more noticeable to you than others especially if we're talking A cup here.

Get the stripping job, pay down the debt, then get the boobs. That's my opinion.

I totally see your point, but the way I see it is like a business: You need to INVEST money to MAKE money.

And believe me, I know it's not an easy job. Not to compare, but I wait tables and some nights I come home exhausted.... and I don't have to wear high heels or shake my booty! Like Pretty Penny said, it's not easy money, it's hard in more than many ways, but it is much better than filing bankrupcy!

^ I agree with you LuckyOne. Yeah, you need to invest money to make money. But you don't throw in TONS of money you don't have. And a boob job is not something you want to cut corners on, so its going to be expensive.

Here's what you really need to invest in BEFORE you start dancing:
    ONE pair of shoes
    ONE outfit

After you have gotten hired at a club and worked a full shift, take that money and buy a few more outfits.

Then save more money, pay off some of your debt. Then start saving for you boob job IF you still want it, IF you still like dancing, and IF you are making enough money to justify continuing to dance.

One of my pet peeves is when girls invest tons of money in outfits and other things before they even go on their first audition.

I agree with the other posters about WAIting to get boobs. You'll be surprised how much you can make without boobs! Really!! You don't need big tits to be a stripper... a lot of guys aren't even into fake. Whatever your body type, you WiLL find your niche. But... say you start dancing and *HATE* it... then you're 5-6 grand MORE in debt than you were before. Just wait on the boobs until you get comfy as a dancer and then see if you still want them... or even feel as though you still need them. Yes, you need to invest $ to make $, but believe me, the money you'll invest in outfits, make-up, shoes, personal upkeep- will be enough as it is without factoring boobs into the eqn. when you're just starting out!!!

Plus.. a-cup asymmetricality isn't really noticeable. don't worry.

edit- hehe lily we posted at the same time... same wavelength exactly!

You know what? I think you are totally right, I just needed to get different opinions, and it's helped me make a SMART DECISION. I'll start dancing and see if it justifies the boob job, with a little bit of patience I can have both (the job-job, and the boob-job)
    Thank you girls SO MUCH!

He couldn't be more supportive, I am a very lucky woman. And we have a strong and healthy relationship, there's trust, love, respect. I think we have the ingredients to make it work.

Anyone else here who started dancing after being married? maybe I should start another thread....

Thanks for the tip whoever said to get one outfit. I was going to get three haha. Think I'll just get some thigh highs and shoes and wear a set I already have from VS.

Like penny said I think it's fine to strip for money, but wait on the boob job which it sounds like you decided already so my post here is pretty much worthless :p

I'm in a committed relationship and about to start stripping too.

you will find that if you come into this business expecting to make insane amounts of money easily, you are sadly mistaken. the money you make will be the reward of you dealing with self esteem issues, harrassment, and mental stress.

make sure you can handle dancing before you trap yourself in serious debt.

Yeah wait on the boobs. I was thinking about getting mine done, and have a enough money saved up, but now my clubs started to slow down, so I think it would be wise to just keep saving. You won't always make a grand a night. Work on paying off your debt, and if you like dancing, and are making good money, then think about boobs.
