In your dressing room at your club, how often do the men that work their go in it? Whether walking through or lingering.

Umm most clubs I work at the DJs and the managers are allowed in the DR... some clubs make them knock before entering, other times they just walk in.
They don't usually go in often though.... but there are clubs the DJs will hang out a little too much...

all the time.
Never; they aren't allowed. They will knock at the door and we'll open it and they can ask their question or whatever into the room.

depends on who, but one manager does hang in there. the rest of the employees knock, ask Qs, and leave.
Love it!

^^If it's who I think, I was so weirded out by him always coming in, because he looks and acts a LOT like my brother. I was going to bring in a pic to show him. Same stance, voice, everything.
Seems like a couple at the new club come in to talk to the HM a good bit, but mostly they stay away.
My club is pretty relaxed about that...Male employees come chill back there all the time.

My club's dressing room is L shaped, with covered openings (instead of doors) on either end. Managers occasionally walk through to find someone or post a letter, bouncers sometimes walk through to find someone who is missing her stage, at the beginning of a shift a DJ might pop in to see who is ready for stage, but most often a kitchen guy will walk through collecting all of our dishes, glasses, and trash. All will knock first, though.

only to change the bottle on the water cooler. they always knock first.
i wouldn't like guys hanging out in the dressing room...i need a man free sanctuary when i'm at work.
though calling our dressing room a sanctuary is stretch to say the least...
I should add... All our managers are female, so there's really no need to have males ever come in heh heh.
the managers come in occasionally to make sure there's not too many girls sitting around in there doing nothing. the dj comes in sometimes to collect cds and props from our feature performers.

Our MC (we dont have a DJ) is responsible for writing up the podium roster and organising the show girls shows so he is in there all the time. I have no problem whatsoever with it.
The bouncers NEVER come into the dressing room.
The managers will come in occasionally to do the roster if the MC is busy or he hasn't arrived yet (coz he comes in at about 10pm) and also to make sure girls are not sitting out the back for too long when the club is busy.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

They aren't allowed in ours, but then we have a female manager who relays info to us on their behalf.
tbh the DR is too small for 5 girls to maneuvre in anyway
At my old club, all the time.
Not too much. Most manager knock before they come in, and only come in occasionally to deal with a crisis. DJ's come in and out to see who is ready for stage, and don't always knock first. Waiters come through to clean up dishes and empty ashtrays, don't always knock. They are all very respectful, so it's really not a big deal. I'd be uncomfortable with a male employee "hanging out" back there, though.

At my club they knock loudly and let us know they are coming in. Then they also are never really looking at a girl in particular.
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"
They wander in if they are looking for someone or need to tell us something. But none of the guys hang out in there. If a guy overstays his welcome we'll stat talking about chunky yeast infection dischage...they leave quick
The managers and DJ come through pretty regularly; rarely just to hang out, though. They knock and are always respectful. I haven't seen any of our bouncers or other staff backstage.
At my club, only the managers are really allowed to come in, and even then, they are professional about it. All they do is ask the housemom for the housefees and/or tell us to go downstairs, and leave.
The only time the bodyguards come in is to break up a fight (which is not all that much). But there is one ditzy bodyguard, who has the personality of a shoe, who comes in and tries to strike up "casual" conversation with girls while they are standing there naked. Its hilarious because its pretty obvious he is trying to pick one of us up.
Hahahaha, when I read this I LMAO. good one lol!!
This is interesting, at the one and only club i ever worked out everyone who worked there had full access to the dressing room. You never really saw the bartenders unless they were using the bathroom. Our bouncers and male managers were always in and out, chatting, collecting house fees ect. some bouncers and Djs would come on days off and chill with the girls back there. I never really thought about it before. Its all I knew so it never bothered me. Sometimes they were helpful with a male opinion on an outfit.
Ugh, when I worked at Lollipops in Daytona there were dudes in there ALL THE TIME - managers, DJs, bouncers, friends of bouncers, it was really invasive and disrespectful.
whenever theres a special or if they can't find a girl.

At my new club there's frequently a manager in the dressing room. Whether they're discussing our schedule, working out a conflict, or whatever, it's not uncommon for a male manager or dj to be in the DR. At my old club, it was rare, and the mgr had to knock first.
