So now it's official...I am old! My 20 year old daughter is getting married!
She's been through a lot and is a very old soul, so I'm not too concerned about her age, although I would have liked for her to have more experiences before she did this, but, not my choice; it's hers.
She was planning on just eloping, but I caught wind of it and begged her not to. So, I'm having my Nana's engagement ring and wedding band cleaned and sized and her fiance is to propose PROPERLY, in front of her family on Thanksgiving (I love being Italian!). And I convinced her to wait until February.
We are planning a low key ceremony in my local church and a small, immediate family and best friends only dinner at a cozy local restaurant. The bride-to-be wishes to wear a burgundy, tea-length dress and carry ivory roses.
She's such an old soul (and I raised her right obviously) that she plans to have her first dance to Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra.
My Brad will be walking her down the aisle and I know I'm rambling but this is just as frightening and sad as it is joyous.
My BABY is getting married!
Well, at least she finished school and her career is going well. She owns her car outright and they are looking for an apartment as we speak.
Someone send me some crackers and ginger-ale...I think I'm going to be sick!
