    Default Sweating!!!

Okay, here's my problem plain and simple- I sweat profusely (everywhere). After just a few songs into the night and I'm sweating like a man after a workout. I've hated it ever since I was young and someone told me ladies are suppose to "glow" not sweat, whatever the hell that means.

Anyways, someone please tell me this isn't as abnormal as I think. It's hard to dance when your hair/make-up starts to go downhill and close contact is unnerving. I don't think it's a problem for my doctor right now, I drink enough water to not dehydrate, it is just a vanity issue. I was hoping other girls had this experience and could maybe share some solutions?

I think it's fairly normal. I'm usually sweaty after a stage set or a lap dance. I hear lots of girls complaining about sweat ruining their hair and makeup. When I was new and out of shape I'd sweat really bad. Just keep toweling off and spritzing up in the back lol.

I have the same problem. I use Secret Clinical deodorant. It's like $9 but my armpits don't sweat or if they do it's very little. If I'm sweating after stage or a lapdance I go in the dressing rm and take the blowdryer, put it on cool, and dry myself off. Just a few tips!

I have this same problem. I use Secret Clinical deodorant (it comes in a box) and it's like $9 but I sweat so much less under my arms. If I get really sweaty after a lapdance or stage, I go in the dressing rm, put the blowdryer on cool, and dry off. It really helps!

I sweat way too much too. Strong anti-perspirants take care of most of the underarm sweat, but my face and other areas get covered with sweat too! I read in a magazine somewhere that if you sweat on your face, try putting a bit of clear gel antiperspirant on your t-zone or wherever you sweat, before putting on your make up. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like a decent idea if you don't think you'll break out too much from it.

i sweat a lot and overall guys seem to like it. i guess it oozes sex for them because some of them will reach out and touch my back to feel the drops of sweat. i guess because it's shiny it makes it appealing.

i carry antiperspirant in my money box and do makeup touchups every so often.

You could try spraying antiperspirants on your body too, lol...who knows, might work.

When I started too, I sweated up a storm! Things are waay under control now, I don't know why. Maybe it indeed had to do with being sorta out of shape then.

Try carrying around an iced water, or a half-frozen iced water bottle..or just have lots of iced drinks...iced diet coke...to keep you cool. Maybe even just carry around a glass of ice..

If you sweat badly in a particular spot you can get a doctor to inject botox into that area and it controls sweating. But remember, sweating is a natural process and its the bodies way of cooling you down so it does have a function and purpose. It happens to me when the club is really busy or the heaters are turned up too high.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I second the cold diet coke thing. It cools me off. Try to avoid drinking while your working because alcohol heats you up. Also Drysol works really well. It's a prescription deoderant that stops the sweat completely.
