    Default Just Curious (music)

I was just curious as to how many girls pick their exact music. I mean, get to dictate to the DJ exactly what they want when they want it. Do a lot of places allow that? Do a lot of places discourage or forbid that?

My club allows you to pick the type of music you dance to. I like 80's rock. Sometimes I'll request certain songs and that's ok. But I can't hand him a list of songs.

I can pick what I want to dance to. There are certain songs that arent allowed (slow music, country) but aside from that we're pretty free. Oh and our night manager hates the ying yang twins too so we can't have that lol.

We get to pick our own music, if they dont have it on the computer we have to bring a cd of it in though.

I buy my music from Beatport, remix/edit it in Sound Forge, and take it to the DJ's on my usb2 flash drive. I'm kinda badass like that.

I generally choose the less commercial electronic music that most other girls aren't familiar with though, and retire it to the "everybody folder" when it catches on. Lurve that I can get away with such raw techno etc. in Detroit. Yummy.

At the last club I worked at the girls were allowed to pick 1 song per set and I had the right to say no if it didn't fit the demo of the crowd.....of course I stretched the rules as far as I could but the club idea of format had the final say....

at the club before that the girls virtually picked every song every set until they realized I was good enough to know what they liked lol

We don't get to pick our music at my club. There is one DJ that tries to play a few songs that he knows the girls like but the other ones don't care what we like or what the customers like at all.

We always get to pick our own music at my club. I would be one unhappy camper if we couldn't. All of the clubs I have worked at have been this way. I can perform to just about any type of music, but I have certain music/songs that I kinda 'have' to dance to to go along with my theme... whether the DJs like it or not-- HAH!

I have my own folder at work because I bring in new stuff all the time. Most of us pick exactly what songs we want, the ones that don't just don't care.
