Default Does it take away from the illusion?

Hi Ladies.........Just wondering how many of you take off your shoes in vip!!! I usually always do and if I table dance 3 songs on the fourth I'm taking them off! Does that kill the illusion or is it quite normal?

If you already have long, lean legs then it should look ok. When you take them off on the table are you lying/sitting down? If so ok. If you are standing up make sure you stand on your toes.

During private dances at my club we are not allowed to take our shoes off. Just make sure your feet don't stink if you do it - coz we are dancing around for hours so they can get whiffy. Make sure to point your toes when no shoes are on coz nothing looks worse to me than a girl trying to be sexy with a flexed foot. That's probably my gymnastics background talking but pointed toes look sexy!!

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Sometimes when I do dances, I'll ask the guy if he's okay with me taking my shoes off so I can be more flexible, and normally, they're like, YEP!! And yes, always point your toes!!

Thank you for saying that. I would always get irritated when girls would take their shoes off onstage and didn't point their feet. It was unflattering even when they were the ones with long legs.

I'd only take my shoes off to get a foot massage personally. It was cool to get paid to rub my feet. They hurt like a mf.

I always take my shoes off when doing a friction dance. Otherwise my feet slide when I"m dancing and it strains my back to keep myself from falling. Plus, I have unintentionally stepped on guys feet when he moved and I moved at the same time....and it hurts him a lot less to be stepped on by bare fet then stilettos!

All my shoes are slip on open toe, so my feet dont stink. And I've never had a guy complain.

And...esp if the guy is tall..I can play a bit of the "big strong man" thing.."wow...you are SO much taller then me without my shoes on..I"m just a tiny little girl next to big strong you"(I dont say it exactly like that...I would vomit..but same idea!). They always love that!

I see no problem with taking shoes off. Some guys have a MAJOR foot fetish!

I always take my shoes off and wish more girls did so the couchs would last longer. Most dancers know how difficult it is to get the owners to shell out for new couchs so the better WE take care of them the longer we can use ones that don't saga and aren't torn.
Plus, guys get a kick out of how short I really am.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

At my club we're not allowed to take our shoes off, but I will if the customer specifically asks me to and tips well for it. Otherwise I keep them on.

I'm 5'10'' barefoot and I never take my shoes off. I like my feet and legs better in my shoes.

i take my shoes off for every dance - even floor dances.. all the girls do... its too hard to keep them on - they tend to slip off and bump into tables/chairs during dances...

I personally don't like to do it. I feel like they might stink even if they don't. It never fails tho, when a guy takes me to VIP the first thing he says is "take off your shoes and stay awhile." Must be a guy thing. Or they just want you to seem somewhat human by not towering over them.

I almost never take my shoes off. A guy has to beg for it, and shelling out alot of cash if he wants it. Plus, I've heard it's considered prostitution where I work if you are caught sans shoes.

One time I let this guy rub my feet when they were super stinky..... I tried to warn him. The look on his face when he finally caught a whiff was priceless. By then the funk was stuck on his hands too!

I take them off if I am doing a bunch of dances in a row or I if I am on a big couch. I'm a klutz and falling on dudes during dances isn't all that sexy.

I take mine off for private dances as I can be a bit more agile without them. I've never had a customer complain, and my feet don't stink. I usually make a joke about it before I start the dance. "If you'll give me a moment I'm going to take off my stilts." or mention that I'd like to get a little more comfortable with them.

at several of the clubs i've danced at around here the manager says if you do lap dances you have to take your shoes off so it won't ruin the couch or poke holes in it. at my home club we are not allowed to take our shoes off because we have a restaraunt in it so the food service rules apply there.

VIP is a private one on one 30 minute long session. Some of my custies actually request that I take my shoes off because they either want to give me a foot massage or they just want it to be as casual as possible. But if it's a big room where alot of people are, keep your shoes on.

(Sorry if I repeated something...I didn't read through all the posts- just the OP)

This is my favorite stripper urban legend to date.

Isn't "such and such is considered prostitution" usually just code for "management doesn't want you to do such and such"?

I used to think it was tacky to take them off, but then I realized the purpose: my feet actually survive the night if I take them off for dances. If I were doing airdances, I'd leave them on, but I have an easier time balancing on the guy's lap if I'm barefoot. I think it probably does take away from the illusion a little bit, but of all the up close things the guy has to look at, my feet aren't first choice during a dance.

As a noob, I never took my shoes off because I thought it was tacky. Once I had been dancing for awhile, comfort won out over tacky, and I bought clear slip-ons and removed them during dances. I'm also a klutz in the heels; never learned to walk in them properly, likely never will. I think the agility and stump legs vs. clumsiness and sexy legs (in my case, personally) is about even.

Anyway, do what you like. Some clubs don't let you remove your shoes, some don't care. It doesn't seem like custies generally mind if you're giving an actual lap dance, because when you're THISCLOSE they're not looking at your feet.
Drought was over. Where was I? Drinks were on the house.
For mixers, my love, you'd poured--what?--even the rain.

Since my club has bed dances and you're straddling a guy who's lying down, chances are you'd probably hurt him at some point by accident... there is also a fine for doing dances w/ shoes. so... no.
