Default RAAAAAWWWR I want to go to work!!

fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. I'm out of work for God only knows how long, and I'm going insane! I got in a car accident last weekend, my ninjamobile is languishing in a repair shop, the insurance company hasn't even sent someone out to look at it yet. I'm broke as fuck, I had to call out of work at a club that i JUST started at (literally...I worked one shift there, and then this happened, and I had to call out of my second shift b/c I have no way to get there. UGH how bad does that make me look? )

I can't get to my apartment (it's 2 hours away), I can't get to my other club either (also 2 hours away), and thinking about all the $$ I'm missing out on this week b/c I can't work anywhere is driving me batshit. So I'm at my boyfriend's house with NOTHING TO DO....I've got 34725634 things I need to get done, but I can't b/c a) I can't drive anywhere and b) I don'thave the money to take care of anything b/c I can't drive to work! I feel so lazy and frustrated.

ARGH I want my fucking car! I want to go to work! Scratch that, I NEED to go to work. I kind of doubt I even still have a job at the new club, b/c who calls out of work on their second shift?

    fuckfuckfuck I need my car.

Take the club pics of the car - thatll prove youre not BSing them

Your insurance doesnt cover a rental car? Maybe you can borrow $30 from someone to rent a car to go to work for a night - pay them back - have a few hundred bucks to rent the car for a week to work work work

heh. I wish...I looked into renting a car and b/c I'm under 25, the fees are astronomical. I'm going to call the repair shop tomorrow and see what's going on. Hopefully the insurance estimator at least has looked at it by now! WTF takes them so long? When my roommate was in an accident they had someone from the insurance co. come out and make an estimate the next fucking DAY.

^^Me, too. Are you sure you don't have any rental coverage, Picaresque? I was in limbo for about a month when I got into my car accident... luckily, I had the coverage or I would've been going nuts, too, without a car. It is definitely worth having.

Holy crap. This is freaky. Not to threadjack but I am in a very similar situation!

School, cold, and a move coming up have made it hard for me to get in to work, but I have to come up with 3,000 by the end of the month or else really bad consequences will happen. So lame.

Good luck to you!! I've come to understand why this job pays so well...

ugh, I totally wish there was a site called helpabrokecollegekid.com

seriously, i mean they have the feed a starving college kid, but most of us just need to put a roof over our head and pay off debt! we don't need ex mac!!!

don't worry, sk, you'll work it out. just make sure you got your health and if someone is threatening to take your health over 3k, trust me when I say if you're getting warned that means there's not much to worry about.

fuck it, I'm renting a car next week. Yeah it'll cost me, A LOT...but I can't take this anymore. I feel like a loser, not working, having to ask my outrageously patient boyfriend for rides, playing on the internet and not getting anything done all week b/c I cant go anywhere. If I rent a car, at least I'll be able to make the cost back and then some b/c I'll be able to get to work. Good idea.

I called the repair shop whose brochures boldly proclaim "fast turnaround"....apparently their idea of fast is "we'll probably have it by next Friday."

Also good idea about taking post-accident pictures of the ninjamobile to the club next time I work. I've got those and the police report, so I can prove I wasn't just making excuses not to work.
