    Default Mystic Tan

Okay so since I was so damn pale I decided to try the mystic tan today. I did the level two followed by 10 minutes in a high pressure bed and damn I got some great colour!!! Only problem is I can't shower for a few hours lol and im scared that when I go on stage im going to sweat since I just had it done like an hour ago.

Anyway they said it takes 6 hours to get the full colour but so far im really impressed. If it turns out as nice as I think its going to I may stick to it instead of tanning beds all the time...

^ The color looks nice at first, but it fades really funny, and it stained my bedsheets.
Around day 3 I started getting wierd splotches on my chest and ended up exfoliating the crap outta myself to get the tan off cause I looked so funny the way it faded.

Thats what my biggest fear was. The girl told me as long as I rub myself down super hard after the spray I should be okay and the tanning bed would help set it in a bit more as well so it wont fade weird. Plus I have a decent base tan under it and I am still going to be using tanning beds as well... I guess we'll see...

yeah, if you do the bed as well, it will help the colors blend in when you fade..

I mystic tan once a week and love it. I do 15 minutes in the bed on the same day, so theres some base color for blending. It looks less splotchy that way when the tan starts to come off. The only place that gets spotty between sessions is my chest, but that can be evened out with some tanning lotion.

I wouldn't go to work without washing off the mystic tan. It smells awful and could leave stains on customers. I always shower it off before bed so there are no stained sheets. Actually I don't think I'd even be able to sleep if I had to smell that stuff all night.

I do it too and I've never had problems with splotchiness or staining. I use one of the gradual tan things every day after and that seems to hold it until I go back again. I've also gone to work after doing it without showering and was fine. I did sweat a lot but it didn't run, but it was about 4 hours after. None rubbed off on custies but I'm in a no contact state.

wouldn't it be better to do the bed first and then the mystic? you don't want to risk sweating in the bed and ending up streaky!

Im lucky I don't sweat in the beds but I guess if you are prone to sweating in the bed then yea that would be a good idea. I like doing the mystic first because the bed sets the mystic in more(or so it feels). I don't do the full time either, I did 10min in a 20 min bed.

I guess im lucky.. I don't sweat in tanning beds or on stage.

My body is used to being under the lights, its used to doing the high energy routines and conditioned to it so its not really a work out for me anymore *shrug*

I would love to try something like this but I can't tan at all anymore due to laser treatments.

So far it's been 3 weeks without using the beds and I've had to experiment with lots of self tanner.

I might have to try this but without using the tanning beds. Would it look funny though?

As long as you rub yourself down REALLY well REALLY hard!!! Use as many towels as you have to. You should be left with a slightly sticky feeling after but NOT wet. Then avoid water for at least 8 hours and make sure you don't do anything that will make you sweat.

Be sure to exfoliate beforehand, it'll help the tan go on more smoothly. If you don't have a base tan, stick to the level 1 shade.

I usually do a bed then the Mystic. The tanning ppl always say it helps open up the pores and absorb the color. I usually wait until time to wash my sheets, get a Mystic, sleep on it, and wash them the next morning. Sleeping on it usually helps it absorb to it's maximum color.
