I had a root canal on Wednesday and the dentist drilled, cleaned the decay, and put a sealant on the tooth. I go in next week to start fitting for a crown. In the meantime, the tooth has been very very tender. Yesterday (Friday), I accidentally forgot that to NOT chew with the side where the tooth that had the root canal is, and I bit full force into some food. The pain was searing and actually sent me into tears. Now the tooth is even more EXTRA tender and the pain would be horrible if I were to do that again. It is achier now than it has been the last two days, and kinda throbby if I apply any pressure to that tooth. I am a mess of anxiety right now because the dentist is not open for another 2 days I am imagining the worst, fracture, infection, etc. The root canal sucked and going through with it was really difficult for me. I want to be done with this so bad.
Has this happened tol anyone else? I am hoping some pain afterward is normal???![]()
