The accents here are so adorable. And so strong! They say the Texas accent is bad, but I think the Minnesotan accent is far stronger.
What is everyone's favorite, least favorite, and funniest accent?

People equate sexy with promiscuous. They think that because I'm shaped this way, I must be scandalous - like running around and bringing men into my hotel room. But it's just the opposite.
I laugh at my own 'Northern' accent, especially if I'm talking with someone else from Wisconsin. my former boss laughed at how I say 'toast'.
I DESPISE the Pittsburgh accent.
It sounds soo hickish and stupid. I have fought my whole life to not sound like that, and I cringe every time I catch myself saying something like yinz or warsh or crick instead of creek.
Obviously I love a Southern accent, but not that awful white-trash drawl. There are different Southern accents. My pet peeve is when non-Southern actors try to play Southerners in movies, and combine elements of different Southern accents into some awful facsimile of what they think we sound like. Ugh.
I hate the Boston accent too.
I LOVE every variety of British accent, even though the blue-collar northern accent is difficult to understand. I love Irish and Australian accents. Chinese and Japanese accents make me laugh. My Chinese teacher has a really thick accent and he loves to sing all the time; nothing makes me giggle like a middle-aged Chinese man crooning "I Want To Know What Love Is."![]()

Unless they are a total troll, a guy with an English, Irish or French accent can probably get into my panties.
I despise a Southern drawl, LOVE a NY accent (not Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island or The Bronx; just Manhattan) and think a New England (Boston) accent is hilarious.
There are a lot of Boston guys here with varying degrees of accents. One Boston guy, here with another group, followed me around the first two days. Those boys sure were generous when I was a stripper though....
I also can't help but laugh at deep Canadian accents, like Saskatchewan and ESPECIALLY Newfoundland!
As far as my native language goes, nothing is funner than an Estonian speaking russian! Its like a Swedish person sing-songing a dry Slavic language. Hilarity ensues and there are about a million jokes about it.

And as far as bad accents, I really hate redneck hillbilly accents. And I live in Texas, I say ya'll and that I'm fixin' to do stuff, but I can't stand when people have a really terrible drawl. It automatically makes them look uneducated and inbred, and I can't figure out why I feel that way, since I live in the middle of it!

Everybody else can suck it IMO
You can't love something you think is flawless - me
I LOVE southern and Australian accents. SO sexy!!!
Wow Kat hates my accent and my boys accent.... *crawls into a corner*
I LOVEEE boston accents on guys. My least favorite is super super southern lol.. I love Italian and spanish accents also...the funniest to me is Scottish!
I definitely find New York italians' accents to be the sexiest right now.
Favorite...Australian.
Least favorite...New England hick.
Funniest...Baltimore. Or "Bawlmore, HON!" Something about the way they say the letter "O" just cracks me up.
And yes, we Manhattanites don't have accents. I grew up in Jersey and got so much shit from my cousin for having an accent that I became my own Henry Higgins at 12 years old and adopted the "East Coast Neutral" that is the typical Manhattan accent.
"She has written so well, and marvellously well, that I was completely ashamed of myself as a writer...But this girl, who is to my knowledge very unpleasant and we might even say a high-grade bitch, can write rings around all of us who consider ourselves as writers"
Ernest Hemingway on writer, aviation pioneer and horse trainer Beryl Markham
Oh Hell yes! I love the Long Island accent too.
I dislike the way most Bostonians/Northeasterners speak in general though. Paahhhk your caaah. LOL
I'm from Buffalo. Generally we have very nasally NY-ish accents but I think I sound more like I'm from Northern Cali. But in contradiction to that, sometimes I get relaxed and say various Southern things like 'y'all' and other quaint sayings. I can also talk like a hick if I want to or even in Ebonics. So I'm not sure. I just sort of have this strange All-American conglomerate of accents.
Anyone with a British accent is usually sexy.I know I'm exaggerating but...yeah. Hot.
I love the more refined Georgian accent, as well as when my Cuban friend gets passionate and starts rolling her R's.

I have a southern accent, and I love it! I also really like the New Orleans accent.

A Southern accent is the best, hands down!
My husbands family hails from Illinois/Nebraska area and I think they're accent is really weird. But they think I'm odd cause I pur cole slaw on my BBQ and I say Ya'll.
But the weirdest to me is a Minnesota accent. I worked with some girls from there and I thought they were gorgeous until they opened they're mouths.
^^^ Um, ouch. You can't help where you're from![]()
This thread isn't meant to offend ladies and gentlmen! Its all in good fun! Please BG, and others, its all kind-hearted and light.

It irritates the hell out of me. I just think it's so interesting how many different accents there are depending on where people are from.
