Ok WTF?
Ok WTF?
Sigh. I grew up outside of Philly. Even though I've lived in the Midwest for a couple decades now, little children point and scream and run back their mommies when they see me on the street. On the plus side, I don't have to buy a costume for Halloween.
Eh wtfever fuck them, they have obviously never been to the strip clubs, lots of hotties up in there! They're jealous, I love love love philly.
Damn straight there are lots of good looking women in Dallas.
I'm not entirely sure about the validity of this, for two reasons. Miami and San Diego (or at least, the parts that tourists see) tend to be dominated by wealthy people who can afford to put an insane amount of money into their look, afford trainers, plastic surgeons, the best of everything, etc. Also, they're beach areas. The locals that flock to the beach almost always tend to be the prettier of people--I might be wrong, but that is what I saw in Corpus Christi.
Funny, and pretty worthless. Seems some were correct. For example, I have always said the best looking women I have ever seen are in San Diago (vs LA) and Miami aint bad either.* However, Lots of good looking women (sorry, I didnt check the dudes...) in DC and Dallas. Now, least worldly or what ever, that's another issue....I find most polls pretty damn worthless, and this one proves that well. I recall Boston was picked in a poll as the best place to be single (forget where that was) and unless you are a college kid, it's a terrible town to be single in, etc, etc.
* = many moons ago I worked the door at a club on the beach in San Diago called the Old Ox. I would say 50% of the girls in their were a 10, and nothing less than a 7 ever came through the door. It was just amazing. Not the deepest or smartest gals you will ever meet, but lord, good looking....for the record, I vote NY city as the best place for women in terms of total package: looks, style, personality, intelligence, etc. Only thing I miss about NY is the food and the women....
A cunning linguist...
What part of Miami did they look in? I'm sorry, outside of South Beach, Miami does NOT have a lot of attractive people.
^^Indeed. Isn't Miami the land of the retired?

I skew San Diego's results towards being a more pretty city.
The women here in San Diego get my co-sign for being the best COLLECTION in the country. Just look at the Stripperwebbers who live here, for example. And I live in the epicenter for beauty here, Pacific Beach.
ugly shoes are common here though

well, I'm from Las Vegas originally, so this obviously doesn't apply to me!
Maybe that's why our Philly hotties are so successful working there? Guys have to go to the SC to see some attractive ladies... Emily? Chrissy?
it's true....there are a lot of ugly (and fat) people here, and that's a good theory Glam.

My fellow Philadelphians may disagree buuuuut.........it's true that the people are not very fashion conscious or hot. They're mostly working class and insular. Philly is probably better known for it's universities, medical facilities, and historic attractions than it's tiny social scene. Philly is a town made up of a lot of little neighborhoods. Some people live their whole lives in their neighborhood so they don't stretch artistically. In New York it's like a point of pride to get out to other areas but in Philly it's not so chic. The hottest chicks I've seen were in Dallas and Houston. Beyond hot, they take high maintenance to a gorgeous level! The most interesting were in New York. Brilliant, quirky, challenging and awesome go-getters.

I worked in Philly for a year but lived in the burbs. All I have to say is, if they didn't take such pride in there food, specifically there baked goods, I wouldn't have put on the ten pounds that I did! LOL But I have to say I LOVE Philadelphia.
Why is it a factor at all?"The relative attractiveness of its residents is only a minuscule factor in evaluating a city's merit."

Being around beautiful women improves my quality of life. It's very important.
When I travel for work or something and the number of fatties per square mile is radically higher, it is really depressing.

I guess it doesn't bother me since I'm not single then.As long as I have MY hottie, the rest of the world can be ugly for all I care.

Well apparently making an announcement as to how attractive a city is with tests like these have no merit. Actually there's no way to have a test to accurately tell you where the ugliest or prettiest people are located because it is SUBJECTIVE as simply stated in this thread.
Well said. Acknowledging this fact tends to draw out insults and character assassination from those who deny this reality.Physical attractiveness is always a factor in human interaction. It's part of our nature so there's simply no point trying to fight or deny it, or even question it.
It's truly depressing, as Sh0t noted, when you travel away from the coasts to the interior and witness the degree to which obesity is spreading like a plague among our citizenry. Metro areas in Texas are a noted exception; some of the hottest chicks I have ever seen in all my travels were in Dallas--and you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting five or ten of them clustered together.Being around beautiful women improves my quality of life. It's very important.
There's a lot you can do about your physical appearance these days, though admittedly at the end of the day for some (most) of us, you still just have to play the hand you were dealt as best you can.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

I lived in Philly for 6 years (for school; yes, I contributed to the brain drain). I think that IS why I did so well when I was there, there AREN'T a lot of pretty girls here. And they damn sure aren't friendly.
So good to be back down south.![]()

For the record, I find Bridgette physically attractive.

Nope. I think the fact that I said the poll couldn't be very accurate proved that I wasn't taking it seriously.
