Someone gave me a pretty pink bedframe for my daughter but I need to get a mattress for it. The problem is, I don't know what size to look for. It's bigger then a toddler bed, but smaller then a twin size. Is there a name for a mattress this size?

I thin it's called a super single...but I could be wrong

Could be a single. Just bust out the measuring tape and measure from the headboard to the foot board, then side rail to side rail. Just the insides don't add the thickness of the head and foot boards or rails of course. then make to calls. Their has to be a mattress company by one name or another. Sears if not or JC Penney. there is thrift stores too if she has "accidents' and you may want/need to throw out the mattress in a year.

No offence Sgt, but I would measure as matress rails can be made to be bigger or smaller to fit the size of the matress. I don't think I have ever worked with anything smaller than a single or crib.
There are some strange sizes out there such as Split-King/Slip-queen, but these are made to allow boxsprings/matresses to go around sharp/narrow corners, or for waterbeds which are sized slightly differently.

Ikea bedframe - it was made in Switzerland or something so no one knew about it here in the US. I ended up having to get some high density foam cut to size and cover it with a mattress cover. The cover's big but she loves the bed and the foam actually feels alright.

European Twin/Singles is 6 inches shorther than US lengths.
also I was going to say it would depend on how much you want to spend as you can go to small matress makers (i worked at once while going to college, hence I know this stuff) and they can make a custom size.
