    Default avoiding sleep!!

so my husband was supposed to leave iraq today for R and R. no word yet, and its driving me UP THE WALL!!!

so i'm awake... perusing stripperweb, avoiding baby preparation stuff, and not sleeping when i should be!

UGH! i've been willing him to call me for hours now, just so i know he's alright.

    what are you avoiding?

I'm sure he's ok. I can't imagine what your feeling right now..and the whole time he's been gone.

I am avoiding sleep as well.
    I am avoiding the gym.
I wish I could avoid pizza, becaue I have eaten it every single day for the past 23 days and I feel like a whale.

I was just reading your siggies..Get some sleep hon, it's only 6 days until your due date. Sleep while you can, hubby is alright, probably some sort of delay..

YES - sleep as much as you can right now. I know it's really difficult. I remember crying everyday because I'd be so emotional and anxious. I can't imagine what you're going through.

It's probably a combo of both....hubby's coming home and the baby is on it's way too!! I'm sure hubby is fine. He does have a long ass trip home. When my hubby came home it was like a two day process of C-130 flights( no sleep on that big as bucket), various international flights, and checking in at his home base when he got state side. He said he never slept....excited and exhausted at the same time.

I feel your pain though. I was always so excited when my hubby was heading home. I cleaned house, went grocery shopping for grub, and got all the escentials together for hot, butt naked, freaky sex!! The game plan was not to leave the house for at least a week after he got home......come to think of it that's how I got pregnant!

Anyway...try to relax as much as possible. Take a warm bath, put some cucumber slices on your eyes, and some Enya on the stereo and drift off for a little while.

P.S. Tell your hubby thank you for his service to our country!!

i finally fell asleep this morning just before 9.
    STILL no word from him!

pole lady- your husband had to check in at the home base? i'm not sure if mine does or not... it wouldn't make sense for him to, but then again, its the military... nothing makes sense!
and how long should it take him to get from baghdad to kansas? because at this point, he's supposed to be out of baghdad for almost 3 days now...

I am not sure how long it would take because it was always a different process from the sandbox to stateside. The only thing that was consistant is that when he got to the states he came from a major hub in the north east directly to his base. Sorry I cannot be more specific but because of what my hubby does I cannot give any details on a open forum like this.

But if he left baghdad 3 days ago he should be stateside by now. Maybe his is going through a debrief process and can't use the phone until his is complete.
Also, if there was some sort of delay while he was still out of country he might not be able to call and update you on that info because of security reasons. I'm sure his is fine but sometimes delays will happen on the way home. There are always bugs to work out!! If anything was wrong a higher ranking official would call to update you on the situation.

He will call as soon as he gets the chance.....so be happy and get ready for all his hugs and kisses!
