The song "wicked game" is sooo sexy! I know Chris Isaak sang it back in the day, but this updated version is sexy with a little bit of edginess. Listen to it and let me know what you think.

That version is pretty good.... but IMHO I lean more to H.I.M.'s remake

I like it but I don't love it. I loove HIM's "wings of a butterfly". I think it's the heavy guitar that I don't like in their remake of "wicked game".

I'm just glad someone listened![]()

^^yay! I just think it's sooo sexy. It's also from the nip/tuck promos. So if it sounded familiar...
Sheesh....Remaking this song is like "the" thing to do lately ....but I prefer the live version from Seether. I love his voice ....you can download it on all the major filesharing sites. They initially released it on their website, but I'm not sure if its there anymore.

StoneSour have a version, as well. Hmmm, someone else did it too, but my hard drive is locked up at work. I think someone posted about the Giant Drag version awhile back when the Nip/Tuck ads started airing. I can take it or leave it, really, but for club play I'm going to go with the HIM one.

I'm with you Slider and MrChristopher ... Ville Valo really captures the sinister spirit of this song
Stone Sour too?? I'm gonna go look for that now. I don't know who HIM even is, but since you're all talking about that, I'm looking for that too. Intriguing....
Edit: duh ...link! I like, I like!

Here's the StoneSour version. I think it was a bonus track when they reissued their recent album. It's not all that great, IMHO.

ETA: Hey, I'd never seen that video before Melonie. There are two versions of HIM's cover. Slightly slightly different, but I prefer one a bit more than the other.

Am I alone in preferring the original? I just adore the plaintive twang of the guitar, the understated drums, and especially his very male falsetto. It just all works for me.
In the club, H.I.M. it must be onstage & I understand why, but sometimes I wish I could have a separate sound system for super-seductive private dances. *wistful sigh*

No, Rose, I like the original best overall. It's just a total roomkiller 99% of the time, SC-wise. Speaking of the separate thing, we're considering putting in a separate computer in the VIP room, with speakers in each little booth. The girls would have songs preloaded they could choose from, or just shuffle their folder, etc. In theory anyway, tis a darned nifty idea. Just so you're not having to hear the pounding whatever that's blasting at 1230 on a Saturday night. I'm not sure how much bleedover there would be between booths, or from the main room, but hey. It's an idea. We keep it fairly quiet in there anyway, so the point might be moot.![]()

I too am a huge fan of the original but MrC hit the nail on the head
What an awesome idea!
Yeah, it rocks....

Yeah, I understand totally about the context. I'm just glad to hear I'm not alone.
Well, let me just put my vote in for that being a GREAT idea. For whatever it's worth. Giving dancers some control over the kind of seductive mood they want to set would be SO worth a try! I've always wanted to be able to do EXACTLY what you just described. I could go crazy with the Massive Attack & Portishead & all kindsa stuff that slows the vibe way down in the "public" area . . .Speaking of the separate thing, we're considering putting in a separate computer in the VIP room, with speakers in each little booth. Really?? That's awesome! I'll definitely have to add that to my song list at work..

I've been obsessed with this song for months now. It's so hot.

I have a wicked tribal trance remix of this song!
