How many of you were hired on the spot after auditioning? I would love to be able to work that same night!

I was hired on the spot at all three clubs I've worked at. One allowed me to start immediately and the other two asked me to come back the next night. I've never auditioned though, just walked in in casual jeans and a t shirt and got hired. I'm kinda freaked out about doing auditions now since I've never done one.
Everywhere I have been except for Vegas clubs have done this.

I was hired on the spot in street clothes, no audition. But diff clubs have diff SOP, so it may not mean anything--I've read a lot of girls say that they auditioned and then were given a schedule for when they could start as opposed to starting that night. Often it depends on how many girls are already working that night. I came in on a Monday and it was pretty dead so they were glad to have me, but if I'd come in on a Friday they probably would have told me to come back Sunday or later.
My last club didn't even have me audition, just asked when I wanted to come in. The ones that did audition me only made me dance one song and then offered to let me work that day.

That's very helpful, SundayMorning! I'm thinking of going in during the week
One club hired me on the spot, wearing street clothes, on a Friday night... and I started night shift, the following day.
Auditioned at a couple different clubs and started working right away.

LOL. I've been given the runaround, ie the brushoff before as well.

I guess everyone faces rejection at some point in this industry. I'm off to find some thicker skin before I head out to my auditions!

i was hired on the spot my first club. I didn't have to audition.
The second club I was hired on the spot but had to start day shift. So I guess that was my audition - my day shift. But then I went straight to split shift (part day and part night).
Every club I have worked at I was hired on the spot.

Hmm... yes and no. If you want to work right away, then yes, go straight to another club. If you're okay with waiting a few days (or till the next week) to be "scheduled" then just wait it out. Some clubs do make you wait to actually work but you will know if you're hired right away.
Waiting lists and all sorts of other crap like that are bullshit.
The bottom line is: know that you're hired, know when you're working (that night or an exact date/time), and know if they are just playing games.
Every single place Ive worked at - and Ive never auditionedI must *look* like a super stripper... LOL
And I agree about going during the week - its easier to get hired and start that night and be able to work that weekend. Some clubs may not let you start on a weekend shift and make you come back the following week-day which means you lose being able working that weekend. If you have the abillity go on a Sun-Wed evening.![]()
Ive been hired on Friday nights and started that night but then it really depends on the club and your look I guess.

Thanks for being so helpful, girls! I'll let you know how my auditions go!
I've been hired on the stop for all Vegas clubs. No audition, just hired in my street clothes, and allowed to work that same night.
( Rhino is the exception. I auditioned there, but was still able to work that night)
I think it's very common to get hired on the spot, I have at every club I have worked for. I still dont think that will be an indication for your personal experience, as every club and mgr, etc. is different. Call ahead and make an appt. , they should be able to let you know how soon you can work if you are approved.

I was hired on the spot at my current club, but it was because I'm friend with a few of the top earners and I guess they talked them into letting me work that night. The generally wait a day or two to let girls start.
My first night I went in to audition, but it was too late, and my friend and I were drinking in the car in the parkin lot, and she suggested I just go and work, she's been there for like a year, she could talk to the manager. When I went in, she didn't even have to tell her, the manager just processed my paperwork like if I was a regular girl. So I didn't even audition, it was like really unplanned. I think it was easier because I began to focus on the hustle rather than if I was going to get hired or not, etc.

I was hired on the spot at the clubs I've worked. Sometimes I would go and talk to the manager ahead of time to see the dressing rooms, chat with dancers to see what $ to expected from the club etc, but I didn't have to audition. Don't expect to be hired on the spot to work that night/day, but do be prepared in case the ask.
Ever club I've worked at required you to start on a weeknight if you wanted to work Fri or Sat. The girls tend to get pissed if you get the big money nights without paying your dues on a slow night.

typically, the only two US cities where auditions are 'mandatory' are Vegas and Manhattan. However, lots of clubs do follow Rubydragon's point about requiring that new dancers wait until a (slow) weeknight to start. Also, clubs that tightly control the number of dancers allowed to work on a given shift may let a new girl finish out working the night of her audition, but then require that she schedule future nights around available openings in the club schedule.
