I have a problem with that annoying white build-up of... junk that sometimes appears on the my lips. Like when you use too much lip balm. Or for me, regardless of whether or not I use lip balm. I know it's not dental plaque or anything, because I take really good care of my teeth and whatnot.
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with over-producing saliva? I think I am one of those people with overactive/easily squeezed salivary glands (I can lift my tongue and usually spray a bit of saliva just from lifting it), and I constantly feel like my mouth is, well, juicy. I also have a bad habit of licking my lips too much. I've heard of people getting a kind of yeast infection in the mouth, but ewwwww I hope it's nothing like that.
How do I stop it? Or at least reduce it? I feel like I have it all the time, and it's really making me self-conscious and kind of OCD about it in public.
