I work for the Political Science Department of my university.
I was grading workbook assignments for a class of 500 students today and no less than 92 (count them, *92*) students stated that Rudolph Guilliani is the governor of New York.
Might I add that was an assignment in which you were allowed (and instructed) TO GOOGLE THE CORRECT ANSWER.
12 people said that the governor of New York is Hillary Clinton.
...Seriously? I cannot believe the complete ignorance that is rampant in the United States today. Universities are institutes of higher learning...How can over 20% of a damn large class be unable to identify the leadership positions of two of the most important leaders in our country today???
I feel a little sick...
