Very interesting and great news. The thing is when and if they get this out, how expensive is this gonna be for the people that have HIV to get this cure? Probably pretty expensive that most of the population with HIV won't be able to afford it is the sad part.
I know it gonna be expensive but it would be beneficial if the government set a price ceiling. It also benefits the government coz then the people who are sick and dying who cant work and pay taxes will not be able to do so again, which would also help cover costs... well ... in a perfect world

No price ceilings please. They just cause shortages and disinvestment.
Benefiting the government is never a good idea, anyway, assuming it would do such a thing.
Does anybody else hold the very odd and unorthodox idea that HIV doesn't cause AIDS?

Sh0t, I watched a program on this maybe a few months back that was saying something similar, and it made me rethink everything I believed about the disease, especially since as I get older I realize how much medical institutions profit from (supposedly) terminal illnesses.

I always thought the drugs were what killed you, not the virus.

^especially one that "preys upon" homosexuals and non-whites in developing countries? ahhh, how convenient.
i don't know as though i completely subscribe to that theory... but i certainly agree that SO MUCH MORE could have been done so much sooner....
after watching the constant gardener.. hrmmm...

The drug theory explains the lifestyle prevalence rather easily.
I've been following the alternative theories for about five years now. The current paradigm won't last too long, it's already cracking.
AZT and the other protease inhibitors will kill healthy people and it will look just like AIDS. This was proven back in the 60s when AZT was on trial to be an anti-cancer drug.
Even if we believe HIV does cause AIDS, the disparity in medical funding flows should make us suspicious. AIDS is a politically correct disease, yet the impact it has is far less dramatic than the real big killers here in the US. It gets such a huge share of funding so out of proportion to its impact as to be ludicrous.

I didn't say they weren't popular.

Exactly. The drugs used to treat HIV are so toxic that they have no idea if its the virus or the medication that eventually does someone in.
Now, I'm going to put on my conspiracy pants.
When they do go public with this "cure" you can bet it's going to be so fucking expensive that nobody will be able to afford it. I personally think they found this cure years ago (and also likely have one for cancer) but dragged their heels to tell anyone about it because the drug companies would lose too much money.

I don't foresee that scenario.
I see them saying "Oops! Looks like we were wrong" and then moving on to the next golden-egg-laying goose.
Most people involved are innocent and honestly misguided. Only very few probably understand and actively promote it. The whole Establishment has an incentive to not rock the boat, so even if they have doubts, pursuing them is a risky venture.
Drugs here are expensive but it's not because we lack price controls.

Shot/'Cesca:
Are you familiar with the ? Dr. Robert Strecker is a contemporary of Peter Duesberg (he cites Duesberg's work at the opening of his presentation) who challenged the conventional AIDS hypothesis with this video nearly 20 years ago...
The production values are cobwebbed, and some of his theory verges on hysteria, but his hypothesis remains compelling nearly 20 years later. Strecker's controversial views include:
- AIDS is a man-made disease;
- AIDS is not a homosexual disease;
- AIDS is not a venereal disease;
- AIDS can be carried by mosquitoes;
- Condoms will not prevent AIDS;
- There are at least six different AIDS viruses loose in the world;
"We all know it is easier for a king to have a lie believed than a beggar to spread the truth. Well, we are spreading the truth about AIDS. Unfortunately, it isn't pretty. But the fact is you are not being told the truth by the government or the so-called AIDS experts. The media, for reasons of their own, will not present information contradicting the official propaganda. So you can choose to go along with the same people who gave us brain cancer (SV- 40) virus) as a result of their contaminated polio vaccines in the early 1960's; a polio-like disease from their contaminated Swine Flu vaccine in the 1970's; and AIDS from their smallpox and hepatitis B vaccines; or, you can at least make yourself aware of the clear and present dangers that we all face by watching "The Strecker Memorandum."

I am and I don't like it. I've always felt it was Disinfo
