Wow, that was gruesome. And sad. And controversial. We don't need any more finger pointing at white or black people though. I heard there are plenty of wealthy blacks that didn't do what they could have to help.

I didn't start the thread for finger pointing..Ya' know what happened, happened and it is what it is. I like political rap, I applaud Wayne for speaking up..There is a enough tittie shaking and ass smack in rap and rap videos to keep the mass dumb to what's REALLY going on around them.

^^Sorry, Farrah, I didn't mean to make it sound like that was on you. I was referring to the song and the comments on youtube. But I agree with you, I think it's a good song, and I'm glad that some rappers are talking about more than Cristal and titties, too.
i used to dream militant dreams / of taking over america / to show these white folks how it should be done
i used to dream radical dreams / of blowing everyone away / with my perceptive powers of correct analysis
i even used to think / id be the one to stop the riot and negotiate the peace / then i awoke and dug
that if i dreamed natural dreams / of being a natural woman
doing what a woman does / when shes natural
i would have a revolution

Thats a unique piece. But I love the one he did with Wyclef, Nia and Akon. I think its called "Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)" If you have the chance, check it out. http://www.shoutmouth.com/index.php/news/Video:_Wyclef's_'Sweetest_Girl'_feat_Lil_Wayne
I think its deep and I love it when rap and r&b artists come together and collaborate to make songs like these.

Yeah, that one knocks too.
I can relate to the song.. A dancer friend of mine was from Haiti and we used to discuss the U.S. bias against Haitian and Cuban (I'm part Cuban) immigrants.
It seems like their the groups aways being deported.![]()

that ons talks about the dollar, and its real. when you go to these "third wolrd" coountries, everyone is about the dollar or pounds. people kill for it, peope live for it, people prey on it and manipulate it....
from where i come from, i can really relate to that song.
Well if this is true; ...You better have a talk with your boy and set em' straight! (On a side note FH...I did return your PM....your box was full...let me know when you have room so I can answer your questions and I got a couple for you! Thanx)

Well, I can't say I'm surprised..Disappointed but, not surprised.
On another note..I'm so sick of the gang-banging bullshit. When I see rappers sporting their colors, they seem to not get the point that there are little kids following their lead. No one needs to hold the community down, if this shit continues, the community is going to kill it's self.

Totally. I remember going to Jamaica and seeing it from a different point of view. I didn't opt for the touristy shit..I like the realness of a culture..I was blown away by what I saw..Some of the people in Negril lived in township like dwellings.
I expected something way different from an island that once belonged to the Queen's colonies. I had a mother send her son over to me and ask if I wanted to have sex with him for $50 ! I went off on him and checked him like a kid from the neighborhood. Also, I went there by myself, which is how I usually travel..After being there a few days, I saw it was normal for women to go there to get their groove back !
It was an experience like no other, I didn't expect that level of realness by any means. ( I joked with a friend that it was East Oaklnd with sand )
I have more stories but, you get the point. My cousin lives in Bermuda ( his mom is from the island) and it's night and day to Jamaica.
