Default How to get super straight hair?

I've already got naturally straight hair, it's a little longer than shoulder length but it naturally flips out at the ends. That would be cute.. if I was 12. I suppose I'll have to invest in a fancy straightener, what kind should I get? I've heard mixed Chi reviews. Is there also some sort of hair product I should get?

Oh well it is for all types of hair. In the DVD they send you can actually see how it works and if you have straight hair they show you how to make nice big or small curls cause you get 2 sizes on the thing.

you can make 3 payments, no need to pay all at once. They send it to you first too so it's a pretty cool company.

Oh I could pay for it no problem its just the fact I don't like to heat style my hair. Im in the process of growing it out so I don't use anything on it.

I have naturally straight hair too. My fav way to make it super straight is the blow dryer and ceramic brush combo. I use one of those round brushes and the hair dryer with the narrow slit opening. I set the dryer on med heat and brush through my hair when its almost dry. I blow the strands downward on the brush so the ceramic center heats and seals the shine like an iron would. I've used flat irons before, but they are unnecessarily drying and damaging for hair that is already naturally straight. The brush and blow method is so much gentler and gives better body too.

Thanks Z!! I really hate using a flat iron, they're so damaging.

this one works with steam, and if used properly it does not damage to the hair, you aren't pressing it to hot plates. Once a week and good to go.

The ceramic irons are actually good for ur hair, they condition and close the cuticle of ur hair and make it more silkier and smoother. I use the HAI convertable, heats up to 450, and works like a charm, I have naturally curly hair and swear by this product. I also like the NP iron. I didn't like the CHI. Like I said I have corse curly hair that's very long and the HAI convertable is my life saver.

After I wash my hair I first put a product called "silk therapy" by Bio Silk, then I blow dry with an ionic blowdyer, till its mostly dry (not over dried) then I let the rest air dry for about an hour. Then I section off my hair and straighten it with my Hai iron.

After years of tryin a millions products and techniques, this is what has worked the best.

My hair is mostly straight with a little natural wave, not much...just enough to make it look stupid if I don't use a straightener. I switched to the Remington wet to straight flat iron because it was cheap and the temp starts out pretty low and you can adjust it higher if needed. I've had it for about 5 months and it hasn't damaged my hair at all. You're supposed to be able to straighten your wet hair but I never do that. I just swipe it through dry, one swipe per chunk flattens it out and it takes me about 5 minutes to do my entire head.

Word... adding a straightening product will tame any fly aways and lock out any frizziness, too. I've been using Pureology's SuperStraight Relaxing Serum on clients... it's awesome! Just apply it on damp hair before you start blow drying and it will give you a little slip you'll need to make the round brushing go a little more smoothly. Also, on your last pass with the hair dryer over a section, hit the cool button on your dryer... this will really seal down the cuticle, lock your style and the shine on the hair.
