I know they're playing Philly on the 30th, but I will forego Mr Steele. I am seeing Ms Sinead O'Connor on that same evening. I did see them on Halloween a few times, though. I'm not a huge fan, but they're a good time live.

No way I'm forgoing Mr. Steele (yummy). Sinead sounds like a good show though; I didn't even know she was touring.

I've been seeing Type O for more years than I care to admit (I was actually a Carnivore fan), but, now that I'm having that mid-life crisis thing, I decided to do a little nostalgia therapy.

Enjoy your show and make sure you let me know how she was!!!

Oh dear....Lordi is opening for them. I'd go just to see that craziness live. Think Gwar, basically, if Gwar were more melodic, sillier, and Finnish.

So did he watch them suck goat balls or did he participate?

Either way, I'm not going there for the opening act, I'm going there for Type O. I'll be the older chick at the bar in the back of the room away from the madness.

When I'm at a type o show, that's where you find me these days. My body is far too old for mosh pits, now i just need my brain to catch up, lol.

Hahaha...I think this is funny because I soooo know what you mean. My mind still thinks I'm badass, but my old bones betray me every time!

    HORRIBLE EVENING!!

I suffered through 3 of the worst opening bands I've ever heard, including the British band (don't know their name) that was like Linkin Park on speed and yes Blade

LORDI SUCKS GOAT BALLS!! They wish they were GWAR. At least GWAR had a sense of humor and some cool stage props. These guys were dressed in weird costumes and just fucking sucked.

So, we had dinner and I ate some bad shrimp. Went to the show and waited to see Type O. They come on and here's little old Dylan in the middle of the crowd pushing and shoving right back...so proud of my old ass.

Then it happened. Food poisoning. Ran to bathroom and the puking commenced. Didn't get to see the second half of their show.

But here's my take on what I did see. They were freaking sloppy. Peter didn't take center stage, but stayed on my left side like a traditional bassist. He even let the guitarist do a fair amount of singing. It just wasn't tight.

To boot, he had on that old priest outfit that he's been wearing for years and must smell like old moth balls by now.

What a disapointment from beginning to end for me. I should not have screwed with the memories. Now I just feel even older now that the image of one of my rock gods has been shattered.

He's just an old man now and didn't even have the decency to be a dick anymore, which was always part of the fun.

I did get some video with my regular camera though for posterity. And I'm typing from home instead of Tampa, where I'm supposed to be. They wouldn't let me on the plane with all the vomiting.

Sorry that it sucked, I saw some pics of ol Petey from Duff's bar in Williamsburg and it was amazing (in a very bad way). He's quite far removed from the specimen that posed nude in playgirl or whatever it was.

Every time I've seen Type O Pete stands to the left of the stage, and yells at sound men, the audience etc. I'm sorry they are gettin old, but it happens to the best of us.
I started realizing ages ago when I saw Type O, Biohazard and The Exploited on the same bill that I was aging... I was one of the few security guys that knew the words to any of the exploited's songs lol.

Oh it was most definitely Playgirl and that boy is BLESSED! Funny thing is, I know he has that in his pants, but I don't fantasize about it anymore. The body it's attached to is too old now.

Blade, when he plays NY (where they're from) or the vicinity, he usually goes to the middle of the stage. He was acting like he'd break a hip or something.

I heard a rumor that he was sick awhile back (obviously the death thing was a hoax); maybe it's true?
