    Default Full Circle

I first stepped onto the stage in August 2005, all wobbly in my heels like a newborn colt. That was at a low-rent slightly ghetto nude club in downtown Los Angeles. Now, with only a week left to dance in L.A., I'm going back. I made money there even as a newbie, but left because the high contact was wearing me out. I can deal with three shifts of high contact, especially with the knowledge that I won't have to do it again in the foreseeable future.

It's making me all nostalgic. How things have changed since then (now I can hustle in Spanish, and I'm not too shy to ask for a VIP) and how the club has changed (lower prices and new management). I'm nervous but a little excited to be going back to the stage where it all began.

Anyone else ever return to their first stage years later?

Yes! Well, I haven't worked a shift there yet... but I did go in for an audition last week. The club was just how I remembered it. It totally brought back all those nervous first time memories! It wasn't the first club I've ever danced at, but it was the first nude club I've ever danced at. Back then, it was a huge difference to me, ha.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes! It was so much fun too! Especially looking backwards and seeing how much you and the club have changed.

Right on Yek, good luck and have fun!

Yes - it was a few years later - I went one night and it was so bad I never went back...

My first club shut down, though even after a few months, I had that nostalgic feeling when I went back. I've contemplated going back to my second club, since it's the only one left in that neighborhood anyway.

It's such a beautiful thing to see how much both you and the club have changed.

^^^ Exactly! I spent the first several minutes lost in nostalgia (there were a lot of significant moments in my life that took place there). But then I sold the first dance and I was off, and I felt like I was all growed up. None of the same people are there so I played it off like I'd never worked there before, and it was fun to have my little secret!

I drive right past my first club on the way to my current club. Once in a while I think about going back for a night, just for laughs. But when I see how empty the parking lot it and remember what a dive that place was, I rethink. It'd be a hoot for the first fifteen minutes...

What's sad is that I never left the first stage I danced on. I'm still working there five years later. Yikes!

going back after almost two years and at age 42! Even after over ten years of dancing I never got totally over stage fright and you described how my legs would fell like jello! You'll be fine.
