    Default At home waxing products

I've found a couple of threads about waxing that list products, but I couldn't find one about the products.
    Soooo....
What brand is the waxing product you use (at home) and how do you like it? Where do you buy it? Would you say the results are better than shaving? And how often do you use it?

I apologize for being so nosy, but I'm just curious what works for other girls

    I like this:

Sally Hansen wax kit. It's easy to use, just rub the strips between your hands to warm the wax, then press and rip. I never waxed my legs or underarms with this, just bikini and .. my mustache .. I don't know about heavy duty waxing, but for small areas anyways, it works great. I get a pro for eyebrows, and when I finally get brave enough for a brazilian.

Yep, that stuff rocks and you can get it at Rite-Aid or Walgreen's or any drug store.

I use Andrea's Hard Wax for brazilian waxes.

It's so simple to use and is mess free (no strips involved); best wax I've ever used for sensitive areas. The greatest thing about is you can usually get it for $14 at Kmart.

Not sure if it goes by the same name in the US as it does in Australia.

I bought some Epil-stop wax at the $1store. It's awesome!

The Sally Hansen stuff won't work for coarse hair. At least it didn't for me. Removed some skin and very little hair. Ouch.

I wax my own arms by mixing 200 grams of sugar with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Bring to a boil on low heat, apply while warm...works great =)

GiGi tweezeless wax is my all time fave. I use it on my bikini line. I've tried other waxes, hard and soft and this is my favorite by far. The only downside is that you have to have some kind of warming plate for it but I just use my electric skillet. They make a microxave version but I don't like it as much.

In my experience, these work much much better than sally hansen!!! I love them ....I mainly use them on my upper lip and between my brows. I have fairly sensitive skin, and these don't even make me all red.

They come with these oily moisturizing / wax removing sipes ....I use olive oil instead. It's less oily to use olive oilon a cotton swab......the wipes they give you get oil all over your hands and whatever. Other than that, they're great!

I have coarse hair and I like the Nair wax strips better than Sally hansen. They work on shorter hair better, also.

I used Parissa wax (comes in a tub with some white strips).. it was basically sugar and water so it was super easy to get the extra bits off after.. It worked pretty well.
I currently use Nair cold wax strips and they got soo much hair off, it felt soo smooth after! They are kind of a pain to use, because you're supposed to rub them between your hands and then slowwwwwlllly peel them apart, but the results were great!

i only wax my face, but zip wax is the best thing I've EVER used. unfortch, it's impossible to come by anymore, so you pretty much have to find it online.

ps- I've been waxing myself since I was a little kid, so a little over a decade, using the stuff.

Go to a Sally's Beauty Supply. The Clean + Easy and Gigi brands are great.

I like Sally Hansen sugar wax because it's water soluble, and you can step in the shower and rinse it off to get off the residue. I tried regular wax for an at home Brazilian once. I had to walk like a penguin for days. Ouch.

Like most other people on here I use Sally Hansen wax kits, I have the lavender one. Just a tub of pretty smelling wax that you heat up and it comes with lavender soothing stuff to remove the sticky and soothe the skin. I've only used it once and that was my first time waxing at home, but so far I love it!, My friend recommended it to me and she swears by this stuff.
